I'm really glad I had this test done. The instructions inside the kit were super easy to follow and the collection process was simple. All I had to do was spit in a tube. I was blown away by the results!! It's incredible how much information was provided to me based on a tube of spit. Not only did I get to learn about my genetic risks for different health conditions, I also received personal recommendations for improving my health and reducing my risks. I loved that they showed me exactly why they made each recommendation for me, so I know the results were totally personalized. They add new DNA reports weekly, so I'm regularly getting more information based on the test. There are also fun reports about personality and physical features, which have been fun to read with my family. Overall, my health and peace of mind has definitely improved since I took this test. I purchased two of another DNA test kits for my kids for Christmas. I then purchased this brand for me. Their kit cost less than mine and they got hundreds of available reports within just a few weeks. No extra fees. Mine gave me nothing related to the heart and several other systems and basically “teaser” results on a few of the others. Very disappointed in what I got for a higher price compared to my son and daughter’s results at a much better cost. Keep in mind that you will have to pay another hundred dollars to even see most of the results. They are locked otherwise. SelfDecode uses this DNA kit to analyze your DNA and give you information on your personal genetic predispositions in different health areas. You also get access to detailed reports that include recommendations based on your genetics to get better health outcomes. I don't know much about science or DNA but I found the reports and recommendations easy to understand and it gives me the motivation to make some positive changes because I know the advice is tailored to my body. It even told me that I might have some issues in an area I'd already been diagnosed in, so I have some confidence that their analysis is spot on. Between the easy process, the quality website, and the value of the reports, I'd say it's definitely worth taking the test and seeing what you can find out about yourself. ... show more

I'm super happy with the results I received from SelfDecode. The trait reports were fun and, according to my wife, accurate. The wellness reports were very detailed and, based on my family history, were correct. There were a few surprises, which I guess is kinda the point of taking a test like this. Now I know exactly where to focus my attention in terms of my proactive health regimen. I also liked that they provide so many recommendations. I won't do all of them but there were plenty to pick and choose from that I feel I can do. Over all, a great product. I've been thinking about getting my DNA tested for long but I never really gave it a chance before; Well, I finally did and I am so glad I took selfdecode's; There is so much relevant info, the reports are incredibly easy to understand and the best part is the recommendations you get.. I received my kit and was able to send it off without any issues. I am in a health related field so I was looking for a product with good explanations and support. I enjoyed reading the descriptions of the results on the website- everything is really polished and well-researched. I have done another genetic test before. It was OK. But really dumbed down. SelfDecode's results are amazingly detailed. there was literally not a single question I had about my genetic predispositions that wasn't answered in these reports. Of course, you never know exactly how accurate something like this is but for the health concerns I already know I have, SelfDecode's results were spot on. Overall, a better-than-expected experience. The test itself came with clear instructions and was very easy to do. When taking the test I was a bit skeptical but after seeing the reports, I am amazed at how accurate and insightful the results are.
