This was a good purchase to fix my neighbor's gate. Her other gate is somewhat twisted so I even put two of these kids (one on top, one on bottom) and it's a solid way to keep the gate secured.

The sturdiness of this gate latch is wonderful. My only criticism is related to the screws that came with it. They have corroded and are pulling out of the gate wood after frequent use. This seems to be due to how short they are. I traded out the provided screws with longer decking screws and the latch is working perfectly and staying securely attached to the wood. ... show more
