I wasn't sure whether I'd have to mount this essentially upside down for my gate that opens the other way, but I didn't. You take out a bolt, flip the lever around, move the spring, put the bolt back in. It comes with instructions for it. Installed easily from there and feels really solid in its operation. If you're replacing the other kind of similar looking latch with the pull cable, note that this one doesn't really have anything in the way of a handle, so while the gate works without, I ended up ordering a couple of handles for it anyway just as a nicety. ... show more
