Easy to assemble. It’s recommended when not use to leave it unrolled. If you leave it rolled up the memory foam will hold that position. ie storage issue. The point is to roll it up and store it until needed.

I am a very light sleeper with back issues. I always dreaded camping because of this. A friend recommended one of these pads and it was a game changer for me. The pad had enough "padding" to sink into a comfortable position. The foam provided enough insulation that I slept on top of it and just used my sleeping bag as a blanket (temps were in the low 60s). While the pad is light, I wouldn't call it compact. Our trip consisted of packing a bunk of kayaks and unloading everything onto base camp before continuing, so size wasn't as big of an issue. This pad is probably not ideal for backpacking over long distances as the size could be an issue. Overall, I slept well which is sometimes a challenge for me at times. So I recommend it.

It's a great thick pad! It self-inflates nicely, thick and didn't lose air over the weekend. I'm a side sleeper, and the pad was very comfortable (my shoulder didn't feel the ground and no body aches in the morning). Also it didn't make noise when I was tossing around (not much sleep due to crazy windy weather). I put a yoga mat underneath the pad so it won't slide around the tent, and to protect it from punctures. Only con: it takes lots of room compared to air inflated pad/mattress, too big for backpack campouts. It's a great pad for normal tent or car campouts.

This pad worked well in 20F-30F temperatures. The foam insulated me from the ground and it remained inflated throughout the night. You do need to let it "loft" after having it rolled up because the foam is compressed. I found it needed a little more air the second night after it had all day to "loft". I was comfortable and it is easy enough to set up, and to store. The bag for storage is very generous so you don't have to struggle to squeeze it down flat as a pancake. I have not tried to pack this on a backpack so I can't comment about carrying it or the weight. It is more space efficient in the car when packing for a camping weekend.

I have multiple of these types of sleeping pads of different brands for camping for the family I’ve bought locally and off Amazon. This is by far my least favorite. It doesn’t inflate very quickly and is too thin. There’s better out there in the same price range. However, this is definitely better than sleeping on the floor. Returning as I’ll buy either another local one or one off Amazon in its place.
