This is such a perfect thing to keep in the garage just in case of emergency. It's lightweight and way better than trying to strap a tarp to your roof using ropes after a storm. This kit has three things that you need: - A 5ft x 5ft white plastic material that's waterproof - A roll of adhesive putty - A rolling tool to help get good contact between the plastic, the putty, and your asphalt roof The white plastic is very smooth, it's a continuous sheet not woven like a normal tarp. The edges are not bound like a normal tarp either. It has a little bit of a stretch to it, but I'm unable to rip it with my hands. It comes folded, so it's really easy to lug up a ladder. It's incredibly lightweight, and when you unfold it, there's no hard creases to worry about. I was really curious about the adhesive that they included. It looks like a really heavy-duty double-sided tape, but it's really stretchy and doesn't have a lot of tack. It actually feels closer to Silly Putty. You can stretch and deform the tape, but it adheres very well to itself and to the tarp. Even the roller is surprisingly heavy-duty. It's got a really solid handle and the rolling head is a solid cylinder of this somewhat squishy plastic that really helps you push down on the tape and push it into the asphalt of the roof. Everything comes in a cardboard box and is presented really nicely. I do wish that it came in a plastic bag or a tray of some sort so I could store this longer term. But I can't fault the product for that. This is priced nicely and it's really great to have on hand. ... show more
