Simple yet elegant, this timepiece combines the convenience of battery-free 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement --to power the watch, just move your arm--with a wear-with-everything design. A slender, circular case surrounds a streamlined dial with gold-toned hour markers, luminous hands, and red second hand. An English/Spanish day and date box helps keep you on track, while a durable mineral Hardlex crystal and water-resistance to 99 feet (30 meters) guard against wear and tear. • Quality and price.
Seiko quality at a great price. I did NOT like that the box hinted at what was inside. It was shipped as a Christmas gift. If left on the porch, would have alerted a thief. As a gift, the recipient had an idea of what it was. Great value, extremely poor packaging.

  • The contrast helps with my changing vision
It’s very comfortable and the contrast of gold against black is easier with my vision. I am getting used to shaking the watch occasionally on the few days I don’t wear it.

  • SEIKO Women's SYMD96 5 Automatic
This watch doesn't keep time if off my wrist for taking a shower so I had to reset it every day.

  • Love that I don't ever have to worry about batteries
Love that I don't ever have to worry about batteries. I don't believe in throw-away watches, and these days the batteries don't last more than a year, then the replacement costs more than a new watch. This is the perfect solution!

  • What's going on?
I loved the watch when I was browsing it on the web site - - - and I went ahead and ordered it. They looked great. However, when I got the 'his & her' combo, I gave it to my significant other and it was a great piece of work. However, when we removed it and kept it aside for a day or two, and thereafter when we wore it again, it worked just for a few minutes and stopped right away. I really love this great watch - - - it has a black dial in gold. So please let me know if I have to keep shaking my hand every time I have this watch on? It sound crazy, but ... ... show more
