This is a beautiful watch! It's also my first mechanical watch, and it's a great one to start with. I really like the NATO band. I haven't had any problems with it running down just by wearing it daily. I find that I lose about 10 to 15 seconds a day. Every couple of days I just set the time again. I'm very happy with this watch and I'm glad I got it. My watch didn't come with a manual, but I highly recommend going to Seiko's site and downloading it. It gives you a lot of great information. It's how I learned all the features and how to set it. For instance, the day changes around midnight, but the day of the week changes completely by around 4:00am. It has to run through the bilingual day of the week before reaching the next day of the week at around 4:00am. I also didn't know you should keep mechanical watches away from magnets because they can get magnetized and lose accuracy. There's a ton of good information like that in the official manual from Seiko. You're looking for the one for the 4R36 caliber (that's the movement identifier). ... show more

After owning this for about a month the watch pins snapped off, they are NOT replaceable as are most watch bands. These seems to be fixed to the bezel somehow, glued???? but once they broke off you can NOT replace the pin as there are no pin holes to use.... I own several other Seiko's that are awesome, sadly this one is a total fail..... ... show more

The seller did a good job of sending the watch. The watch's original box was sent inside a tough packaging box. I'm worried that it might get damaged. As for the watch, it's perfect I love it. People who have complaints on the watch do not know how to read instructions, do not know how to care for a mechanical watch, and or they don't know how to use a mechanical watch. keeps track of time very well and does not lose time like people mention on the comments. I imagen it does lose SECONDS per day like any time keeping piece but for the price this is a great mechanical watch. A great buy in my personal opinion. ... show more
