  • The best Seiko option for diving Watches!
“Japanese engineering with extraordinary quality. The color and the way it plays with light are fantastic. 300 meters of water resistance as a statement of engineering, and a well-balanced 45 mm presence on the wrist. Sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel at that price point—few options come to mind. Delivery time was perfect.” ... show more

  • Good value and great looks!
Perfect! As other reviewers mentioned, the green color is very subtle. In all but bright sunlight the face and dial look almost black. Weight, quality and comfort are outstanding. This is an outgoing model, but I'm fine with that. Waited 2 months to buy, price went down about 40% in that time. Definitely consider a Seiko for your high quality mechanical watch buy. ... show more

  • 3rd Generation “Sumo” with Forest Green Dial & Bezel
Beautiful watch with intricate brushed & polished areas on the the case. A very substantial 190 grams. The curved lugs almost allow it to fit my 6.5” wrist though the 52 MM lug to lug measurement makes for quite a large a watch. Lume is amazing-It even has a “pip” next to the date at 3 o’clock. Wish the white frame around the date window pictured in the photos was not was omitted on my watch. The 20 mm bracelet works well with the unique “sumo” case. New movement with 70 hour power reserve movement is nice but my watch runs a minute or more slow per day. Some better AR coating for the sapphire crystal would’ve been nice. Also “sapphire crystal” is not listed on the case back as with other Seikos I own. Disappointed that the signed crown from the previous generation of “sumos” had has been discontinued. ... show more

  • Beautiful Watch
I didn't love the old Sumos, the font never did it for me. When I wanted a new green watch to replace my Alpinist, this model struck me and I couldn't shake it. The upgrades Seiko made were all spot on and they totally listened to their customers. However, from $400 to 800 was a bit of a reach. I think this watch is at home in the $600 range, so yes, i overpaid, but the detail and green, and the overall aesthetic I couldn't get anywhere else. And I've learned that if you see the exact thing you want, you won't be pleased buying something for less that is just close to what you want. I have found most Seiko autos break in over time, this one runs fast, but probably a few mins per week right now still. The bezel dot is ever so slightly off center, that or the second ticks are somewhere. It might be an optical illusion too, but it doesn't really bother me (only for the cost). I still hate the pin and collar because i never have that super secure feeling that they won't fall out - thought I've never actually had an issue. They are a pain to take in and out and screws, especially at this price, would be much better. I love this watch overall. Yes, it's big, but the new lines and Seiko's attention to polished parts vs. brushed, the color of the green, the bezel font and hands is a perfect combo. THere's a lot to appreciate. For the money, my Steinhart Ocean is still my number one, but I did wear this for 2 months straight after buying it, and it's a close second. ... show more

  • Great watch for the price
Price point is great for an automatic diver. Hefty like any other automatic but very comfortable. Watch is pretty accurate especially if you wear it all day. I suggest an automatic winder if you do not plan to wear it all the time. The Sumo takes pictures quite well but be forewarned, it is not as bright green as a Rolex Hulk or Kermit. For me, the sapphire lens is a huge plus. The luminescent hands and marks are nice as well. Watch was packaged safely and shipped in never touched condition. I'll buy from Fast Track Retail again, without hesitation. P.S. If you buy from a retailer, don't forget to register it on the Seiko site for warranty purposes. ... show more

  • Watch problems Watch problems
The watch is beautiful. I have been looking forward to buying this model for some time. When I received, the watch came with scratches that were very noticeable. The watch battery continously runs out every 20 minutes or so even when it was worn and fully wound. Would not recommend
