  • One of the best
I have a lot of good watches....Turdor, Rolex, Omega etc. but this is my favorite to wear. So classy and comfortable and beautiful. It's mesmerizing. Let the watch snobs fret over names. This is just the best particularly for the money. Seiko is just a great brand and people who know watches understand that. ... show more

  • Not the real 1965 re-issued limited edition SJE093.
If you look close enough and read description carefully this movement and caliber are different from the limited edition one that just came out. This is not a 6L37 caliber.

  • An amazing watch offering amazing value.
This, is an amazing watch. There’s a lot here to love and enjoy about this. It’s a little overpriced here at over $1700 USD, but if you can buy this piece or any of the variations of this watch at or around $1200 USD, you will have a fantastic piece of watchmaking for an incredibly reasonable price. It isn’t perfect. And it isn’t fancy. The markers/indexes are not applied, for example, and the bracelet links are attached with pins and collars, and not screws. The bezel is made of polished steel and not ceramic, and it isn’t lumed. It isn’t COSC certified, or specially regulated to some internationally recognized standard. There are other niggles. But, for what you do get, it is probably impossible to purchase another watch that offers more value and is a better tool for diving than this. First, the case design is crisp and functional, and incredibly attractive. It boasts polished and brushed sides and curved lugs. At 40.5 mm in width, the case size is perfect. It wears like a 39. It has fantastic lume. It boasts a date function, which means it’s a real watch and useful, not a pretentious object designed to make foolish boys and watch-snobs think they’re “in the know” because they have a dive watch without a date…(rolling my eyes). It has an excellent screw down crown. The bracelet is extra long and unbelievably comfortable, and the clasp offers several points of micro-adjustment. The case height is around 13.2mm, so the watch has presence on the wrist, and the crystal is sapphire. It is an unbelievably comfortable watch to wear on the wrist because of the ideal dimensions. The 6R35 movement also offers 70 hours of power reserve. Of course, it’s a Prospex diver with 200 M of water resistance. I honestly cannot emphasize how comfortable this watch wears because of the excellent bracelet and dimensions. Part of the reason it works is that its weaknesses are also strengths. For example, the three-piece link design is perfect. The width and length of each link is neither too long nor too short. This makes the bracelet conform relatively well to the contours of the wrist. The clasp isn’t milled, but only stamped. Combined with a lack of screws, the weight of the bracelet is reduced. The watch feels both substantial but not burdensome on the wrist. Yes, more expensive models offer better quality, convenience and aesthetics. But functionally, they also offer less comfort. The irony of a simpler bracelet is just an easier watch to wear. Pay no attention to those who criticize this bracelet for its lack of Swiss-style refinement. This watch will never give you wrist fatigue. You will wear it daily and never wish it were easier to wear. Perhaps most impressive of all, Seiko has taken time with this model, to adjust it relatively well. It is not adjusted to 6 positions, and probably not to five. You may notice significant variations depending on the resting position overnight. Crown down and up will cause noticeable losses overnight. Dial up may bring decent gains. But, by and large, this watch will perform relatively well for a Seiko - which, frankly, is a big deal. If you like watches and can’t afford a super expensive and probably overpriced Swiss piece, this is an amazing buy. Even if you can afford a more expensive piece, you should own this if you like watches. This line by Seiko is the best model they produce today. And in fact, this watch today is what a good Rolex submariner watch would have been 30 years ago - a somewhat expensive, relatively accurate tool for diving and telling time. Highest recommendation. ... show more

  • Incredible watch
This merchant is crazy to think someone is going to pay over retail for a watch you can find for under a thousand dollars 😂
