    • Second Hand Mis-Aligned. Never shipped replacement.
The actually is a beautiful watch. The dial is pretty, the lume generous and it is a stunning and sparkly watch. Seiko normally has impeccable second hand registration on their quartz watches but the one I received seemed to be aligned half way between the second markers. I shipped it back for replacement, but the seller, Jomashop, said they didn’t have the replacement order in their system, and the replacement was never shipped. I ended up having to cancel the replacement order and filing a claim with Amazon to get my money back (which is still in process and they say can take up to a week to investigate. ). I don’t know if this was a fluke or if Jomashop is selling a stash of defective watches. I do want the watch, so I placed another order directly on Jomashop’s website. I will update this post later with the results. UPDATE: (3/31/22) Turns out that even though Amazon provides a replacement option, Jomashop can only support refunds. This discrepancy put my exchange in limbo. I ended up getting a timely refund, though I am not sure if it was related to the claim or would have happened anyways. I received the new watch that I ordered directly from Jomashop and the replacement had a perfectly aligned second hand. The big problem with the watch is that the sapphire crystal is not AR coated, and sapphire is much much more reflective than mineral. The reflection is not just when you hold it at an angle to a bright light, but appears all the time as a haze. It is so pronounced that you can not see the beautiful dial. As a comparison, Mineral crystal with a screen protector looks infinitely better. I had wanted Sapphire so that I would get a clear view of the screen without a screen protector messing up the view but sadly, this did not work out as I had hoped.
