First off, shipping from Amazon was a nightmare. This isnt a review about Amazon however so ill leave it at that. The watch on the other hand is incredible. I wanted another automatic to replace my old timex automatic. I wanted something with a bit more features and something heavy duty and this fits the bill. I was a little worried it would wear too big on my girly 6.5" wrist but surprisingly it wears very well and leaves plenty of wrist at the top and bottom lugs. The fit and finish is absolutely excellent. Every edge is perfect and the polished parts are perfectly mirror polished. The bezel moves nicely and is not too loose or too stiff as well as having a nice click from the ratcheting mechanism. Mine is very accurate only losing 5 seconds a day. Its a little on the heavy side but for a 42mm diver I think its very comfortable. The original silicone band is pretty comfortable but I prefer marine nationale bands and that really just made for a perfect fit. For under 300 bucks, I really dont think you can get a better watch. UPDATE: I didnt notice until yesterday but the watch i received is a fully Japanese seiko marked MADE IN JAPAN on the dial and case back. It seems like the majority have a Japanese movement and are assembled elsewhere but I got lucky I suppose. ... show more

    • Overlooked Gem for an Affordable Daily Wear Watch

I bought this watch as a daily beater and swapped the black rubber strap for a nice, quality leather strap on it. I have several Swiss divers, a higher-end Seiko and a Hamilton. I get more compliments on this watch (my most affordable) than any of the other watches. Actually, now that I think about it, I haven’t received any compliments on any my other watches. Bottom line: Don’t let big name brands and expensive pieces sway you from an overlooked gem that happens to be affordable. ... show more

I bought this as a gift for a 13 year old boy. This watch is beautiful. Very good quality brand. The watch band is long and lot of options to make it fit any size wrist. The band is rubber buy also buttery sold. A keeper for sure.

this watch was great with black silicone weave rubber strap... so sexy a watch there was for under 300? i dare say not .....i went on ebay and purchased genuine seiko steel mesh bracelet and the class...the beauty.....i call this the porn watch bc its so simplistically beautiful....and has see thru backside.....but mainly BC it charges when you watch porn if you move it to your right hand....happy I purchased ... show more

The dial is not black like how its shown on the product image, but very brown. The bezel insert also does not align with the marks on the chapter ring. The movement is pretty good though, mine came in fast by about 2 seconds/day. The rubber watchband it comes with is also a very interesting design. I ended up replacing the crystal, dial, chapter ring and bezel insert. Easy watch to work on. ... show more
