  • Almost Perfect
Style: Mows up to 1/4 acre
So I’ve changed my rating from 4 stars to 5. In my original review (which you’ll see below), I rated 4 due to the set up being stupid. Turns out, I’m stupid. While the set up does have its issues, it works and is what it is. The yard though….HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE BEST ITS EVER LOOKED. Literally just a few weeks in and without any chemicals, my yard looks like it’s straight off the cover of better homes and gardens and it looks like this EVERY DAY because my Segway friend mows every other day and because he’s mowing so often, it’s only cutting maybe a 1/8 inch of grass every cut so my yard is basically self fertilizing. If you’re like me, you’ve read a million reviews and him hawed around because of the price…. I’m here to tell you to just do it. It’ll change your entire yard game! You’ll still have to weed eat because the absolute closest this can get to your home or some bordered flower bed is about 6 inches, but I can get my entire place weed eated in a matter of 15 minutes then sit back and enjoy my weekends cause the yard is already mowed in perfect straight lines. 5 stars. Love it. Never going back to manual mowing. I have the I110. So lets start with the bad stuff (although overall my review will end well). The set up instructions aren't great. Even the wording is just dumb. For example, you will set up a "zone" (like a back yard or whatever). But when you need to set up a second "zone", that option doesn't exist. Instead you have to set up a "boundary". Even stupider, once you set that "boundary", the app calls it "zone 2". Its just little dumb things like that. The scheduling is also not great. It only gives you days of week to schedule. So for example, you can set it something like 11am Sunday, 11am Wednesday, 11am Saturday which sounds great...I mean after all, every 3 days is about perfect. The problem though is that if you set that, your yard will be mowed every saturday and sunday (which is a pointless mow because you just mowed 24 hours earlier), then on wednesday. I wish the app gave you an "every X days" sort of option. I would love to see a constant rotating every 3 days or every 4 days instead of making you pick static days of the week. Now then - all of that having been said, this thing is still freaking awesome! I've only had it a week now, but so far I've mowed 3 times and it does a freaking fantastic job! Its crazy quiet. Its slow...and every now and then some strange glitch makes it miss a few passes...but the mower always doubles back and gets them even if its an hour later. Its odd. I'll gladly update my review once I've had it a month or so, but as it stands, I'm LOVING it and feel dumb for not having broken down and bought it some time ago. Know up front that you'll need serious patience to set it up. The instructions are horrible. Fortunately Segway Navimow put out a bunch of "how to" videos on youtube so you can find just about whatever particular thing your working on in the app and how to do it.....again...just requires some patience. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 starts (was because set up isn't intelligent or easy) but now that it is all set up and running, I couldn't be happier with it. Week 2 update. After a series of trial and error (mapping), I’ve got this thing dialed in and it’s doing great! The yard looks freaking awesome! ... show more

  • YMMV. Works, but issues with battery life, resume behavior, falling off curb, setup
Style: Mows up to 1/4 acre
Out of laziness/curiousity I didn't mow the full lawn before running the navimow, only around the boundary. It barely got past half the backyard (~.05 acres), but that seems like it was because it mowed the overgrown parts multiple times. After the initial run it seemed to be able to finish the backyard (~.1 acres) in one pass, but barely. When it goes back to the base to charge due to low battery, it doesn't auto-resume after finishing charging, and when manually resumed, it starts over from the beginning (I did not long press in the app, so it should have continued where it left off). These issues with resuming mowing should be fixed. Update: today it auto-resumed after going back to base, and finally managed to finish mowing my back yard. Bumping up 1 star since it's really a time saver for the back yard. You can't edit a schedule or map in progress. It mows slowly, so if you schedule a job make sure to give it plenty of time to complete. And you need to be careful about slopes (especially by curbs. It fell off mine in a few places) and setup off-limit islands. Note: if you try to wrap a border around a small area where you don't want the mower to work, the app will merge the boundaries and it'll try to go through that area. I'm trying to adjust the boundary to avoid those areas. Aside from that, it got stuck a few times since my yard has a few uneven spots. They seem to be OK after filling them in. Not being able to edit the map on the fly (right after the mower gets stuck) is a bit annoying. When I tried to map the front yard and the software combined the front and back yard, even though there's a fence in between. After fixing the back yard map, instead of the zones separating, the front yard map was erased completely. Remapped the front yard and it wouldn't save and wouldn't tell me why until I gave up (apparently I had added another zone without a channel, which it didn't like). You can't add a channel to a zone or part of a zone which is too small for the mower to fit comfortably in. For my particular yard: - 5/5 for the back yard: got stuck a few times but so far seems to be working fine after filling those in - 2/5 for the front yard: falls off the curb and into access panels, runs into signs and lawn ornaments. Doesn't properly obey borders well enough. I'll need to do a fair amount of manual mowing to accommodate sections where I needed to adjust boundaries and off-limit islands so that it doesn't run into things. Update: auto-resume seems to be working, so it failing previously might have been a 1-off, or a software update might've fixed it. The issues I've had with this aren't really deal breakers for me (and most can be fixed with a software update). I expect to be able to keep the mower from falling off curbs and getting stuck on access panel covers by tweaking the borders and manually mowing the spots it can't get to. ... show more

Style: Mows up to 1/4 acre
I was very excited to try this out in my yard unfortunately after wasting 2 hours of my time, I am sending it back. I don’t usually write reviews but this was a big purchase that was not what I anticipated. First of all there was no anti-theft available system with this item, second it had a very difficult time connecting to WiFi. For the money I paid I expected connectivity and not having to buy a separate 4G device and lastly it is very hard to map. It is not AI assisted; that would mean it reads the yard much like a robot vacuum would but it doesn’t. You have guide the device around your entire yard and then after several attempts due to spotty connections in a small area, it will not mow. Very disappointing product. ... show more
