Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) You all know how it is, kayaking for hours can be... a bit uncomfortable on your rear end! Now comes a solution all kayakers ought to know about! I confess, I got a gel cushion earlier this year, but this one is much, much different, much IMPROVED with CONTOURS in the honeycomb gel to fit your bottom better. It is comfort beyond all measure, let me tell you! Talk about relief for sore tailbones too! The cushion cover has non-slip dots on the underside, to keep the cushion from slipping around as you paddle. Not only that, the topside is mesh, allowing the cushion to breathe with you. Should your cushion get soaked as you are kayaking-- no worries as the honeycomb design of the actual gel allows the water to drain so you aren't sitting on a wet seat all day. Another plus is that the cover is washable; the gel itself can easily be washed/rinsed to get the salt water, river water or lake water, sand, or what have you, out. What's not to love? ;o) This cushion really makes a difference in your enjoyment of kayaking, upgrading the experience. Highly recommended! An Update: My hubby had a super long road trip to accomplish a few days ago, and he sat on this kayak cushion in his car, in total bliss. The insert to the Seekey kayak cushion is really comfortable. As it isn't quite kayak season yet, I put it on a hard chair and the cushion is soft and conforms nicely to your bottom. The cover has grip dots on the bottom, so it shouldn't slip around on you while the top is nice and smooth. The only problem I have is that the cushion does not slide easily back into the cover once removed. It took about 5 minutes of pulling, pushing, and contorting the cover to get it on even close to the same way the cushion came. Other than that this would be a five star product, but it is not convenient if I have to fight to put on the cover every time I need to clean it. ... show more

I love to kayak, however the hard kayak seat gets uncomfortable very quickly. Sitting on that hard plastic makes my back starts hurting and eventually my legs hurt and get tingly. This kayak seat cushion has been a game changer for those issues. It took me about 5-10 minutes to really feel the difference. When I first sat on it I wasn't even sure if it was comfortable, it just felt different. But as you sit there you begin to notice the difference in softness and increased comfort. I attributed it to warming and softening of the inner thick honeycomb gel insert. It is so much more comfortable and cushions the impact on the lower back, thus preventing the pain and numb tingly feelings. I love that it is waterproof and has a nonslip bottom which could be more nonslip in my opinion but it does help some. For the price point it is definitely worth trying. I did try it in my wooden chair as well and it has the same benefits, so it is versatile. ... show more

This is a great seat cushion. I originally purchased this to use in our Kayaks, and it works great in them. So much better than those thin black pads our kayaks came with. Light, comfortable, and waterproof and fast drying. They have a gel pad inside the pad cover that does not absorb water. I loved them in the kayaks, but I also started using them on my work chair. I was using a regular cushion on a wooden chair, but I thought I would try this out. It works amazing! It has some nice ergonomics in the shape that makes it comfortable to sit on all day. And on one side of the cover are rubber bumps that keep it in place while you sit and when you stand up. The cover is removable and can be washed as well. April 24, 2024: This seat cushion is quite comfortable. The honeycombed gel interior allows air and water to pass through freely, so it can dry quickly. The cover has silicone dots on the bottom to keep the cushion from sliding. The cover on mine seemed to have an aroma to it, so I washed it right away. (The gel interior has an aroma of its own, but I didn't find that unpleasant.) I machine washed the cover in a mesh bag to protect it from friction with the other items. The cover is very lightweight and air dries quickly. It's a bit of a challenge to get the gel interior back in the cover, but I compressed it sideways, inserted it, then adjusted it. The diamond pattern on the insert is on the bottom and the circles are on the top. I got mine for an office-type chair and it should work well. Since it's portable, I may try it in other places as well. I'd recommend it to friends and family. If anything remarkable happens, I'll update the review. ... show more

I ordered this Seeykey Anti-Slip Kayak Seat Cushion with the intention of using it as additional cushioning in a kayak. Once I received it, I realized that it would make an excellent seat cushion for my hard foam computer stool. The honeycomb gel cushion provides a lot of support and relieves uncomfortable pressure points, even for a heavier person. The honeycomb design also seems to stay a little cooler and seems to reduce sweatiness on the seat. The zippered cover is made of a mesh like material that provides ventilation as well as quick drying were you to use this in a kayak. If used in a kayak, I imagine that you would want to remove this from the seat and drape or hang it somewhere for a short time in order to dry it fully. ... show more
