Recently got my kitchen updated and because of tiling around my window, my old window covering had to be replaced. I live in Texas and the window faces west and the sun hits that window at the hottest time of the day. A designer friend of mine recommended this product as a temporary solution while I wait for my new window covering. Easy to adjust the length with scissors and seconds to stick to the frame. It has an almost cloth like texture to it, very nice quality considering it’s temporary. We use these in junction with blackout curtains because they can be applied right up to the window blocking out a majority of the light. The 4/5 stars is because we've now had two out of nine total shades not have the adhesive stick to the shade. We installed not knowing and now the adhesive is stuck to the wall and the shade falls away. Also, just so people are aware, the adhesive is very strong on whatever you stick it to and it is hard to remove. Just a heads up. ... show more

I have bought four of these blinds now. I needed a little more curtain for the blinds that are pre-installed. These work really well! I would recommend for another layer. I don’t know how well they’d work by themselves.
