I ordered this shed for some additional storage. For the most part, the instructions were pretty clear. I did appreciate the "common mistakes" section which helped to avoid that. For a majority of it, the pieces worked, however, the holes didn't always (more often than not) line up. It was really frustrating trying to put it together. That, plus the short length of the numerous screws you need to use made it very clumsy to handle, especially with the gloves on. The most annoying part of this project, however, was ALL.OF.THE.PLASTIC. There was plastic on almost everything which took an inordinate amount of time to undo because it didn't come off easily. Lots and lots and lots of plastic. At some point, we just gave up taking it off because it was going to take another day to complete. There were a couple of pieces that were bent due to shipping - which was unfortunate. We also had a few pieces mislabeled (the triangular pieces for the roof). The instructions just stopped and didn't include instructions on the latch or the hanging pieces that I believe are for tools. No additional hardware to attach them or where...just thrown in the box. Be careful - they provide EXACTLY the number of screws you need (save for the latch and the hooks...who knows?!?!). So if you lose one...you might be out of luck. Overall, it's a decent project but a much, much bigger undertaking than we were expecting. ... show more

The finished shed is great, just make sure that you allot a good amount of time to assemble it because it took us about 3 (2.5-4 hour) days total to peel off the plastic and put it together. Best tips I have from the process is 1. wear the gloves they give you, the metal will cut your hands without you even realizing it; 2. if the holes aren't lining up don't waste time trying to make them line up, just drill a new hole. ... show more

The Seedfaya 6’ X 4’ metal storage shed ticked three boxes for me, perfect color, perfect size and excellent price. The first consideration should be where your shed will sit as well as the surface it sits on. My choice was easy I had space on a concrete slab on the side of my house where I constructed the foundation frame, squared it and drilled anchor holes. I then slid the frame away from the fence to allow access to the back of the shed. The instruction booklet is well thought out with emphasis on footnotes indicating common errors. Errors that I made none the less which required disassembly and grinding and bending. Some of the bending was to straighten sheet metal that was damaged in the shipping process. This is something that I would consider unavoidable IMO. The shed is surprisingly sturdy for thin sheet metal all held together with sheet metal screws all the screws mate with pre drilled holes. This is one of the issues pointed out in one of the “common errors” footnotes. If they don’t line up back up a page or two. It should be noted the dimensions listed in the ad are for the exterior. The inside dimensions are considerably less. You will need to consider some kind of floor. My searches revealed that 3/4” plywood is good. Treated plywood is best but I used untreated because my environment is dry. I purchased my untreated 4’ X 8’ at my local lumber supply who made the cuts for me totaling $55. The treated plywood would have been $78. I had an experienced handyman help me and we finished this project in 4 hours. It is suggested to have a helper and I wholeheartedly agree. Pro's: Instructions are idiotproof - I have followed thousands of assembly manuals over the past 15 years so I have a good appreciation for quality instructions. I was shocked by the total lack of trouble getting holes lined up, and even more shocked at the fact that the doors closed properly and evenly with no adjustment whatsoever. The shed is attractive. Mine included a few tool hangers which was a nice addition, as was the lock and latch. Con's: The film - I put the shed together by myself and easily spent as much time peeling plastic off as I did the rest of the assembly - apparently "12 man hours" includes 4 hours of peeling. The metal is more flimsy than I was expecting - and I wasn't expecting very sturdy metal for the cost. Simple handling was enough to deform the edges and some of it arrived damaged in an undamaged box. I will be protecting a wall with plywood on the inside to hang tools on and against. Flimsy metal to a degree is expected for the cost, another thing was preventable design deficiencies. For example - the bottom frame is made of 6 pieces instead of 4, and the plastic insert in an aluminum extrusion joint sits right under the door hinge = movement. This could have been solved with a 6 ft piece instead of a 4 and a 2. I will be adding screws down through the finished aluminum all the way around to make it more sturdy. Same kind of design flaw with the top frame which has a joint in the very center - inevitably this will sag and affect the door closing. I did find a mistake in the manual telling you to use the sheet metal screws on the top edge and middle of roof - use the machine screws. ... show more

We are using this small shed over by our garden for gardening specific outdoor things. I added a shelving unit for soils, pots, hose, hand tools etc. there is room to fold the handles down on our lawnmower and tiller and they both fit with room to spare. A great locking option to get all of these items out of the garage and into the yard where I actually need them. My husband built and leveled a 6x8 wood platform deck and built the shed on this as our yard isn’t flat. Directions were fine. The plastic wrap on all of the pieces was a PAIN to remove and took forever. ... show more

Some of my panels are damaged. Also I had to cut holes into top frame in order to use locking mechanism on inside of door. That plastic wrap is a joke it didn't prevent any damage and was a pain to remove.
