My little ones are into gardening right now and so these were perfect for them to get a head start on things. I did like that this was a whole kit. It really had everything you needed. The pods were small but perfect for their hand size. It was easy to put seeds in there and let it germinate indoors. The pods were very light so it felt almost brittle, but it did not break apart. I was able to have their hands hold it while squeezing it, and it didn't fall over thankfully. I love the little greenhouse effect that this kit presents. It encloses the pods so that the seeds can do what they do. The plastic enclosure does not stand up by itself, unfortunately. I was having trouble with it standing up without having to tilt it against something or having something hold it up. I ended up having to place them inside a box altogether to allow it to uniformly sit upright. The price is decent for what you get and the product works.

I really did not have much luck with this growing kit. The pictures show results after 2 weeks of growing. Most of the seeds did not even germinate and they were fresh seeds. The thing I really did not like about this kit is that the lids on top of the capsules just sit there and do not lock in. The lids just fall off and even a gentle breeze knocks them off. The lids are an important part of keeping moisture in the pod to germinate the seeds.

I started getting into gardening, especially hydroponic systems during the winter months. Now I wanted to expand from indoor to outdoor. I realized most of my plastic baskets are overgrown with roots, so I have to constantly cut my existing baskets to avoid damaging my roots as much as possible. This kit comes with sponges, baskets, domes for the baskets, and basket labels. I did check beforehand if the basket measurement would fit my hydroponic system, and when the baskets came I was able to physically check it too. So I am happy. One thing I might have to consider is that the plastic on this basket is a bit harder than my previous one, so I might have to remove the sponge before the roots grow longer and bigger. I do plan to buy this kit again and hopefully get it as a gift for my friends who enjoy hydroponic gardening.

Dryades grow anything kit is quite nice. This has 12 baskets, sponges, blackout labels and mine came with 14 domes. It's everything you need minus seeds and fertilizer. I have 12 AeroGardens in my kitchen. I also review lots of sponges from all different companies. I am very impressed with this set. The sponges are almost identical to the AeroGarden original sponges I keep on hand for reference. These sponges are very porous and soft and have give when pressed. There are plenty of air spaces for roots to find their way through and allow aeration and nutrient absorption. Very nice sponges. They sit a tad shorter than AeroGarden brand. The baskets sit flush on the grow deck which I like and the domes are taller than some companies allowing the little seedling a bit more time in their moist environment before needing to remove the tops. Very nice. The blackout labels go all the way to the edges of the basket to help deter that pesky algae growth and the underside of the labels is only sticky around the perimeter so my delicate little seedling leaves don't get stuck to the bottoms on their way out. They also have the growth cuts allowing them to fit snugly around larger plants such as my Roma tomatoes. Also well done. I struggle to comment on how to improve this great set of supplies. It is surely one of the top sets I have reviewed lately. Mostly I find the sponges will make or break the success of my planting and these are top notch. A+
