I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I'm pleasantly surprised. The video quality is great. The battery lasts way longer than expected and i live in Florida. Already been through 2 storms and the camera is fine. I bought an SD card for mine and everything works perfect. The alarm, the 2 way talk, the night vision etc. As of now i def recommend to people who want a cheaper way to stay protected. The motion sensor picks up everything. I had been looking for a wireless security camera and I’m so glad I found this one. The package was sent out to us promptly just in time before we went on our trip. We were able to monitor our house through the app and got notifications whenever it detected motions in the house. Being able to see our place and making sure everything was ok from half a country away was definitely a great relief. Its video and audio qualities are impressive, and the app is really easy to navigate. I really like the 2-way audio feature, and I sometimes call my dogs' names through the camera and they would always react to it! Overall, it’s a decent camera for this price. I’m happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

The camera works as expected but I did have a few issues with it. First, the WI-FI signal where I needed it (outside near our side yard dog run) didn't yield a strong enough signal to reliably connect the camera. The camera kept 'falling off' our network and sometimes connected or not. I bought a WIFI extender and that resolved this issue, by providing a stronger signal on that side of the house. The second issue is the App. It says it has adjustments for the sensitivity of the motion sensor, but it hasn't allowed me to decrease the sensitivity. The problem was that cars traveling down the street were being detected and generating constant notifications to the iPhone App, which was useless and annoying. My reason for the camera was simply to monitor the dog to see that he wasn't getting into garden areas and getting muddy. I monitored by starting a live view when he was outside, so motion detection was not needed. I ended up just shutting off notifications for the App, which seemed a rather clunky resolution because of the App's weakness. The images transmitted by the camera are clear and sharp and I have no complaints about that. The App is weak and in need of further development/improvement. If you can get a strong WIFI signal where you need to use a camera, this one works well enough. My other outdoor camera, made in China, has a better app and doesn't have these issues, but is not available at this time and Amazon can't say if it ever will be. EDIT: I've added a star due to the customer support received from this seller. They responded to my criticism and tried to offer solutions for me. The sensitivity setting for motion detection is now set at low sensitivity and the company offered me a solar charging panel to use with the camera. I've installed the panel and am hoping that it will eliminate the need to bring the camera inside to recharge and therefore be less disruptive to WIFI connectivity. The company was very responsive and I was impressed at their effort to help me to resolve the issues. An update: the two cameras I own have been working well, both with a solar panel for power. Now, one camera is no longer holding a charge. I am not sure if it’s the one purchased in Feb or Dec of 2022. I would have expected the battery to last longer in either case.

It took me some time to find a budget-friendly camera that met my basic needs: Allows me to watch the live feed endlessly (no time limit on a free app), easy to set up, weatherproof, under $100. Before this, I had my old iPhone and a surveillance app to watch my pet outside, but I needed an upgrade to see more of my yard in better quality. I also wanted a battery that didn't die in 1 day. This little camera has been great in hot and rainy weather so far and the battery lasts for 6 days. BONUSES: zoom feature, 2 way microphone I recommend keeping the camera as close to your wi-fi router as possible for strong connection. Also, allow the app to "connect to devices on your local network" or you won't be able to connect to the live feed. If you've already selected 'don't allow' by mistake, then simply delete the app and start again.

I charged the camera and followed the setup instructions using the rockhome app. The first few steps worked OK but the app failed to recognize the QR code on the camera. Repeated attempts to scan the QR code all failed with an iPhone 12 or an iPad. I verified that the iPhone camera was enabled and that I was positioning it correctly There was no error message except to show that it failed to scan/connect. I contacted rockhome support. They responded after 3 days by repeating the provided instructions and ignored my problem in getting the QR code to scan. I will return the camera and try a similar camera from a different company,

This camera does a great job of capturing what’s going on in its vicinity. Be that as it may, the sensitivity settings are not adjustable enough. For reference, I live in a suburban ranch style home that’s well off the street. I get little push notifications on my phone every time a car drives by even on the lowest sensitivity setting. They do have a solution in the form of a monthly subscription. The camera is fine but a hassle.
