Description

This is not the paint your Daddy used on his boat! (And not anywhere close to the paint sitting next to it on the shelf at your marine store.) Inland Marine Topside Paint is specially formulated to have the elasticity and UV resistance required for use with inflatable boats. Because inflatable boats expand in the hot sun and contract at night in the cooler temperatures, constantly flexing, ordinary paint or vinyl stick-on numbers will not stay on an inflatable boat for more than a few weeks. But we don't stop there! We mix our Sealant in our Topside Paint to further enhance the airtight integrity of your inflatable. Inland Marine Topside Paint is available in Red, International Orange, Yellow, Royal Blue, Grey, Black or White.

I had used another product marketed for inflatable boats ,which is also water clean up, it comes in a plastic container. That product had very poor coverage (white over grey). On the other hand, this product covered extremely well (over grey). Will refer friends.

Color was great, coverage excellent, remained slightly tacky for a long period of time, weeks, after initial painting and drying session. Easily marred and can run off. I even have a dog print in my dingy from the dog standing on the painted surface.

Our Inflatable Dinghy is not used much. Just on back of boat on Davits. and bottom of one side that's on top got discolored from being under sun for a year or so. Although this is for top side, the part I painted is inflatable part but water level/under water mostly. Seems to be holding out fine for now. Was easy to put on. I did clean up with Acetone, wash, etc. Happy for now. ... show more

I used this on my OLD Caribe' RIB. Old like 20 years old. It works fine. Prepped with an acetone wash and used two light coats to cover the top half. I used 1/2 quart for a 9.9 RIB top half. It makes the boat appear NEW and has plenty of elasticity. Keep in mind that this is a RIB with fiberglass hull so it is kept inflated on a trailer.
