Being able to take the work bowl off to empty and clean it is excellent. It has plenty of power. The performance of the two-blade vs four-blade work bowls doesn't seem much different. They both work well.

I got this on the recommendation from an Indian food forum. I had been looking for a small grinder/chopper for some time and this looked perfect. I was not disappointed. There are two stainless cups provided, one with two blades for grinding whole spices and the other cup with four blades for chopping veg, typically onions, garlic. tomatoes for Indian food. The cups lock into the base with a twist for use and there is a plastic lid with a seal that keeps the contents in the cup. The transparent cover also operates the on-off switch when pushed so the whole operation is intuitive and the mess stays in the cup. Then, I tried this Secura spice grinder, and it helped grind the items into a fine-textured powder. I absolutely love this spice grinder, as it is also not too loud. Love grinding spices from my garden and this just made things a million times easier! It turns out from solid to powder so incredibly fast. If doing hot peppers, slowly remove the lid so you do get dusted in the face with it. Lol

I bought the product primarily to grind chutneys, powders, sauces, pesto and spices. I tried making coconut powder and it worked wonderfully. I used to use Bella grinder for reference which took quite a few tries to achieve the same consistency. I chopped frozen coconut into 1 sqcm pieces before grinding it. It took 15 seconds to make it into powder needed for avial consistency. There are two jars with one jar cover and the main cover. The jars themselves are a bit on the flimsy side. For the price, I expected more thickness. I can bend the jars with my bare hands. I can see the jars cracking up in the future. I have other secura products which work wonderfully and they have honored their warranty even when Amazon didn’t accept the returns. Their milk frothing jug is a sturdy one and my expectation was to receive similar quality jars. :). But all in all, let’s see how long this will last. Improvements - a bit more bigger containers along with thicker steel being used for the jars. ... show more
