  • A great grinder for a great price
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
I love this little grinder. It is my first one and the first time I’ve ever used one. We needed a grinder and this one by Cuisinart was on sale and caught my eye. After reading reviews, we ordered it without much grinding experience to go by. I had harvested, processed and butchered my first deer. We put a lot of meat away for the grinder and were ready to thaw some for some fresh ground venison to make a venison chili. Tips are to have grinder parts cold out of a freezer and your meat to not be fully thawed, but still a bit frozen. This makes grinding easier and is also easier on your grinder itself. As you can see I thawed the venison a bit too much, but the grinder had no problem. It does slow down a bit with the silver skin bits you see in the bowl in my photos. I did remove as much as I could, but know that some in ground venison isn’t too bad. It does gunk up the grinder plate a bit, so remove as much silver skin as you can. I’m not too sure how it would do with fat as my venison had nearly no fat. Assembly was simply and took about two minutes. Cleaning is super easy, the only part that was a bit difficult was inside the grinder itself where the meat goes through, but that’s to be expected. Seems sturdy and well-built. For something that will be used sparingly it should last a long time. Give your grinder a good life span and grind your meat for your dishes fresh. Don’t grind up all your meat and then freeze it. It keeps longer and better not ground and freshly ground venison can’t be beat. A good purchase for sure. ... show more

  • It is smooth
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
I bought this so we could process our own venison. It’s very easy to use and is very powerful. It works quickly. I haven’t made sausage with it, just ground venison. I highly recommend.

  • Lives up to the Cuisinart name
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
Recently purchased this and used it for the first time this past weekend (5/7/23). The grinder arrived packaged well. Unpacked and everything was there. Assembled unit to give it a try for coarse grind beef. I cut the beef into manageable strips and chunks to feed easily. Started up and had ground 12 pounds of meat in no time at all. The grind was very consistent. Disassembly and clean up was very easy. My only very small complaint is the motor is a little loud for a countertop appliance. Which is easily accepted when you see the quality and speed of the grinder as a whole. I would definitely recommend this product to others. I have even decided i want to try my hand at homemade sausage. ... show more

  • Nice machine
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
Just got this item this afternoon and washed it, assembled it, and put it to use. Easy all the way around. I have numerous other Cuisinart products and pleased with them so I thought I'd give this a try. Not disappointed. Today I just used it for grinding hamburger but am already looking at further uses and recipes ... show more

  • quality for the money
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
Hamburger 6 to 7 dollars a pound. Prompted me to buy this little machine, I buy rump roast or any other meat which is on sale for$3.99 and make my own Hamburger in less than 2 minutes for 2 to 3 lbs of meat. Cleaning is a breeze, just rince it. No asembly required. For me this was a non brainer, since I was raised in Europe where everyone has such a grinder, you can use it even to make your own baby food. This machine pays for it self. Hamburger actually stinks to me now, since I grind my own fresh meat. I own this machine now 2 months, do not understand the 1 star ratings. I would say, do not wash in the dishwasher, it is easy to rinse clean in a sink, no discoloring in the metal or damage to the plastic on top. Also do not use slimy meat, this machine is made not for soft stuff like fish or soft stuff. I also use it to make homemade noodles whit solid dough. I love this machine, just take care of it ... show more

  • If you have more to grind more than one pound, find yourself anohter grinder!
Style: Cuisinart Meat Grinder
I researched a lot before buying a meat grinder because my old one broke, and I could not find it anymore. My old grinder worked perfectly for many years, so I was hoping to get something similar. Based on all the reviews that I read, I bought this Cuisinart, but my hopes vanished very quick once I tried to grind some pork shoulder in order to make sausages. The grinder worked as long as the meat was almost frozen, but once it got a little warmer (don't get me wrong, I don't want my meat warm, but it did warm up a little since it was taken out of the freezer) the grinder stopped working. So it took a very long time for me to finish the job, because I had to put the meat back in the freezer, wait for it to get very cold/almost frozen (on top of it my freezer was full, so I had to take other products out of the freezer in order to make room for the meat), then take it out and start grinding again. If you want to grind your meat easily and fast, find another grinder, this one might do the work, but it will take a lot of effort and time on your part. If you only want to grind one pound, then you will probably be fine. But if you have bigger piece of meat, find another girinder and save some effort and time. ... show more
