I’m happy I bought this while it was still in stock. I have been using it for a month and a half, about twice a week, and mostly so far with hard red wheat berries. I chose this one because it was available on Amazon, and there were plenty of tutorials on YouTube, and it was a good price. I have been wanting a grain mill for so long, and I was happy to find one at a more reasonable price. I have never used one before, so this review isn’t coming from a ton of experience, but I will say what has happened so far. The flour that I make is fine enough to make bread. The noise is extremely loud, but that’s fine. It really doesn’t take very long to grind flour. I did have one problem with a piece on the lid not staying on after a few weeks of use, and I reached out on their customer service line and they were so kind to send me a replacement part for free. I definitely recommend this brand for their customer service, I actually talked to a real person who called me back, so I appreciated that. I don’t like how you can’t clean inside the tube or machine, I see flour at least within the tube connector, but it’s not worth breaking the machine to try to clean that. I also don’t like the disposable filters on the top, they are also really hard to clean. You are supposed to just flick it clean, but that never really gets all the flour out, and I got one wet accidentally which sealed the gunk inside, and I had to throw it out. So just be careful with those disposable filter pieces, and I think you can buy new ones on their website if you need to. So far, I’ve used the same one for about a month sense the first one got wet (it comes with 2), and I think I can just keep using it, but I’m not sure what the advice from the company is on how long they last. If I could make a suggestion for the next version of this, I would ask for the bucket that collects the flour to be clear. The instructions and tutorials are very clear that you cannot overfill it, otherwise your machine will break, which is a pretty big deal when you can’t see how filled it is getting. I just make sure to empty it far earlier than I need to to avoid this. I know at least that it can take about 2 cups of hard red wheat berries and it gets about just over halfway filled, and I empty it out at that point, just to be safe. I also don’t like how hard you have to pull on the plastic tab to open the bucket. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to last forever. But I can’t say that it won’t since so far it’s holding up just fine! Despite these complaints, I’m still very happy I picked this machine. I’m very happy with the company and very happy with the bread I am making. It has so many health benefits to make it yourself, and it is really fun to do. ... show more

    • Nice little mill works good
Good little mill, noisy, but it is grinding hard wheat berried, duh. Cleaning the inside gizmo after a grinding session is a bit tedious, do not ignore doing it. Be sure to use the rice clean after a session, follow the recommended tips. Durability might be an issue? I think we will grind less flour at one time (machine gets pretty hot after about three or four grinds of 6 cups of berries. 6 cups gives us about 8 cups of flour. Other reviews note to insure you put the unit together properly to avoid the 'dust everywhere'..... lol. Reading and following instructions ... who knew.     • Best Impact Grain Mill is Nutrimill for your Home!
What a huge blessing to find Nutrimill home flour grinder. Some prefer to use a stone mill, but I do not see what the difference would be in taste as long as it grinds to fine or course flour you want, and not pay twice or 3 times the price. This one is fantastic at grinding at 2500 watts of power, and does a fantastic fast job grinding a few cups of four in seconds or up to 12 cups in 5 minuets! Large flour capacity of up to 12 cups at one time. It also has 7 settings, course to very fine milling it’s great in functionality and design to be able to choose your grind selections. Flour attachment is large enough to store the grind funnel and other parts inside the container to keep it clean! Not to mention the amazing affordable price for grinding your own flours, and any non oliy seeds in the Nutrimill go to Nutrimill.com for more info. I will never buy store bought flour again! I use Ancient Berries for better gut health and to stay Dr. Free! Diet alone can solve so many health problems and be free of paying high fees, and be free of medication forever!     • Excellent for Home Use, but Needs a Break Between Large Batches
Overall, I’m very happy with this grain mill. It grinds the first batch—about 5 cups (around 12 oz)—very quickly and does a great job. However, I noticed that if I continue grinding additional batches, the motor gets quite hot and the machine becomes noticeably slower. I believe it may have some type of thermal protection to protect the motor from overheating, which is actually a good safety feature. For normal home use, it works very well, but I would not consider it a machine for continuous or heavy-volume grinding. If you need to grind a larger amount of wheat, you should give the machine some time to cool down between batches. I use it for fresh whole-wheat flour for bread, desserts, and traditional Arabic foods. Despite this limitation, I’m very satisfied with the results and quality. ... show more

I'm new to milling flour. I have to say that this flour was easy to set up and use. The flour came out finely milled. I do recommend that you sift the flour to remove the coarser bits of grain that were not completely milled. I love the fact that the flour was sent into a sealed container that kept the flour in an enclosed container. Be careful to have the sponge filter in place or you will have flour dust everywhere. The canister stores the milling basket, and electric cord is a real plus. I like to see a separate power switch from the size regulator. Overall, this a great product. Hopper and cord tuck into bin for storage; nice. It's not the loudest on the market, but we don't buy these for the noise, do we? Now we just want milled wheat and nuts - it does a great job.
