I bought these for the macrame purses I make and sell. They are definitely strong magnets as is advertised. If the prongs were longer, this would be a good thing, but I’m certain they will detach from the purse since the prongs are a little too short to properly attatch and the strength of the magnets makes it harder to disconnect them. I used these smaller snaps for a wallet that I made. These are very strong snaps, so the fabric I was using (I know, a jersey knit is not always that strong) began to tear along where the snaps were placed. I highly recommend using a canvas strength fusible interfacing for any area you'll be putting these snaps! Or even just layer it really well so there's less opportunity for the backing circle it comes with to tear through the fabric. ... show more

When you work very hard on a piece.. you may think the hardware is a little thing.. but if it is no good .. how do you keep your wallet shut? These magnetic snaps are quality and powerful strong.

They are just the thickness I needed but i only reviewed 12 complete sets of the magnetized buttons and 15 pcs of only 1 part of the set. I see that it's currently unavailable so not going to bother asking for a replacement.

They do not work!!! Did not hold snug against against my leather purse (thin flimsy backing plates), had it back to the leather shop three times trying to get it right. Last time the leather shop tried to glue it against the leather, which only made a mess. Flap barely snaps together & doesn’t really hold. ... show more
