  • Very good
Color: Multicolor
This is my first pool robot. Pool is 16x32 The WORSE thing that I’ve found is that while in wall mode it occasionally hits the skimmer and of course all water is blocked if the pump is going. Turn pump off before to save from the pump running dry. My pool has sloped sides in the deep end at 9 feet deep and slopes up to the shallow end at 3 feet deep so I didn’t know how this would perform. It seems to do best with the sloped sides after it learns the walls in the shallow end first. There has been occasions where it doesn’t “climb” the walls in the deep end. It has to turn “up” so much before the propeller kicks in to hold it against the walls. The battery lasts as stated and vacuums up the tiniest of particles up to big leaves. The self righting feature works as designed. I have stairs in the shallow end and it does climb them. When it comes to the last stair and comes up out of the water it shuts down the vacuum part and after a few seconds it reverses back down the stairs and goes elsewhere. The floor only feature works good and it tracks very well to cover every part of the floor. It does seem to “map” out the pool floor as it doesn’t miss any parts in floor mode only. It does have problems in the deep sloped ends as it senses the slope and understands the slope as the wall and turns around quit often in floor mode. In all cover mode it is random about cleaning and has no set cover mode like floor mode. It does speak to you and let you know which cleaning mode it is in. The app is very helpful but the robot must be near Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be turned on the phone for the app to operate. The basket is easy to release and clean. Other than it not sensing when it’s stuck in the skimmer this robot is very good. The one piece of advise for the engineers is while cleaning the waters edge in wall/all cover mode have one track be slightly slower than the other so it will sort of creep along the edge instead of bobbing up and down in one spot. I do this manually when I’m near it but this would be another “above the rest ” type feature for advertising. No compensation expected but very good advice for business. I do wish a replacement battery was advertised along with the robot. I haven’t called the number to see about getting a replacement for future use however. All in all I’m very satisfied with this robot and don’t see a reason to buy another competitor’s product as this does everything needed. ... show more

  • Worked great for 4 months… then it stopped
Color: Multicolor
The media could not be loaded. Summary: really great when it works, however beware as ours only lasted 5 months First off, we were really excited to give this a try. The idea of not worrying about a pool pump to clean and no pool hoses to the pool cleaner sounded awesome… and it was! For the first 5 months this thing was amazing. It did a great job cleaning our in ground pool and was easy to maintain. I recommended it to several of my family members as a result as we were initially thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, around 4 1/2 months the last cycle it ran we noticed it was more floating on the pool surface vs being suctioned to it. We took it out of the pool and ensured it was clear of any debris and emptied the basket like normal. Plugged it back in to charge, waited the full charge time (ours was about two hours), and as you can see from the video nothing turns on correctly. We tried setting it out in the sun to see if fully drying it would help and it didn’t. Tried turning it on and as you can hear from the video, it makes a weird humming sound and doesn’t work. Very disappointed. For a $300+ product, it should have lasted way longer than 5 months. Ouch. Another call out is we tried to find a customer support phone number and their website is no longer available online and we can’t find any other way to contact them. Feels like we’ve been duped, but maybe we got a bad unit. Either way, disappointing. ... show more

  • From Maytronics Nautilus to Seauto Seal
Color: white
I’ve used the Seal for just a week now, but I’m greatly pleased with its performance and price. The Seal is replacing my Maytronics Nautilus CC, which I’ve used for about 2 years and that replaced a Maytronics Dolphin. To be fair, the Nautilus only stopped working because the electrical cable split open, exposing and eventually shooting out the wires, otherwise it seems likely that it would have run for another year or two. Both Maytronics units were very good, but lasted only about 2-3 years, probably my fault for always leaving them in the pool. But the Seal works better than either of those units. It moves much faster in the water and picks up some things that the Nautilus would not. They both pick up small stones, but the Seal picked up a foil yogurt top that the Nautilus repeatedly left in the pool. My pool is not screened in, so we get leaves of different sizes in the pool, and the Seal gets them all. In my opinion, the Seal appears to navigate the pool more intelligently than the Nautilus, and it had no difficulty dealing with the shape of my pool, which is all curves. My pool is 36ft long by about 17 feet wide and is 6ft deep at the deep end, 18,000 gallons, and the Seal cleans it easily. I haven’t timed how long it runs for except that I have seen that it runs for at least 2 hours on a charge. A benefit I guess is that I can’t leave the Seal in the pool day after day, since it has to be taken out and recharged, so maybe it will last longer. I must say too, that it’s wonderful that there’s no electrical cable to deal with anymore, getting all twisted with each use! Each time the Seal has run, it left my pool perfectly spotless. ... show more
