I don't regret paying 470 USD for a PSU. It's for a very long time (12 year warranty) and supports the latest atx 3.0. Tried it under load with GPU consuming 430w and CPU 150w. It's a super light load for this PSU and fans didn't even start. When fans are not in ECO mode it's still pretty quiet, can't hear it. Cables are braided and much better quality compared to the last gen PSUs. It even comes with cable combs. Overall, it's the best PSU on the market right now and totally recommend it. ... show more

Costs a pretty penny, but this is one component that's going to travel with you from build to build. Why? 1.6kW is basically the max power you'll get out of a standard North American wall socket. And it supports 2 ATX 3.0 connectors, which are both rated at 600w - and that's 3/4 of your power budget right there - you just can't get more out that poor socket. That standard just came out and will be there for a while. GPUs will basically have to adhere to it. In 220V countries (or if you are lucky to have a socket like that in your house in the US) you could potentially get more power into a PSU, but I really doubt a mass market manufacturer is going to go for this any time soon. On top of that, it's really hard to get more efficient that this PSU already is. I've built a 2x4090 + Threadripper Pro using this puppy, and it performs admirably, given that at a max load it really pushes the max power limit of both the PSU and the wall socket. This is what you get when you use quality components! If you add all of these points together, you can see, how this is going to be an ultimate PSU for a while, I think for the next decade. + 1.6kW rating. My new workstation doesn't get to this kind of load (even with RTX4090 and i9-14900K) but for longevity of power semiconductors and (especially) electrolytic capacitors this high rating is awesome. + Reasonable size I was expecting a huge PSU for this rating, but it fits nicely in my case, leaving room for wire routing and a HD bay. + Great cable set Flexible wires with individual mesh sleeves gives the best routing I've ever achieved when building a PC. Lots of all the cable types that are needed in even the most over-the-top builds. + 600W 12VHPWR outputs No messing around with the ugly 4:1 adapter that comes with the RTX4090. I can't think of any negatives at this point. ... show more
