  • A year in and no problems
Size: PRIME TX-1300 ATX 3
Power supply is big, you may want to get dimensions to see if it will fit in your case but most full towers should be fine. Very nice quality and build. Cables are easy to manage in the case. As to how it performs? It’s a power supply at the end of the day, keeps my overclocked 14900k and 4090 happy. Do i see a difference from my older evga platinum power supply? Yes actually, this atx 3.0 handles my 4090s power spikes better causing minimal circuit breaker tripping. I was experiencing more with the evga. Overall I would recommend for high power consumption components and newer systems especially nvidia high end cards. ... show more

  • Best PSU on the market, hands down. And will be for the next decade.
Size: PRIME PX-1600 ATX 3
Costs a pretty penny, but this is one component that's going to travel with you from build to build. Why? 1.6kW is basically the max power you'll get out of a standard North American wall socket. And it supports 2 ATX 3.0 connectors, which are both rated at 600w - and that's 3/4 of your power budget right there - you just can't get more out that poor socket. That standard just came out and will be there for a while. GPUs will basically have to adhere to it. In 220V countries (or if you are lucky to have a socket like that in your house in the US) you could potentially get more power into a PSU, but I really doubt a mass market manufacturer is going to go for this any time soon. On top of that, it's really hard to get more efficient that this PSU already is. I've built a 2x4090 + Threadripper Pro using this puppy, and it performs admirably, given that at a max load it really pushes the max power limit of both the PSU and the wall socket. This is what you get when you use quality components! If you add all of these points together, you can see, how this is going to be an ultimate PSU for a while, I think for the next decade. It's cost? Pay once, cry once. ... show more

  • Perfect
Size: PRIME TX-1600 ATX 3
Not the first PSU I've ever purchased but definitely the best. Was heavily considering the Noctua edition to this one due to its lower decibel output. But it's not done with magic and the trade-off is increased heat across critical PSU components. Still haven't put the PSU shroud back on my PC yet and the side panel is also still off, but cannot hear anything coming from the PSU. I'm not saying it is dead silent, I'm saying I can't hear it above any of my PMW case fans even without the shroud and side panel. And I'm using high end fans that are quiet. Stable, solid, quiet performance. Extremely pleased. Others brands I've used are Be Quiet, Corsair, and Mushkin. ... show more

  • Great power supply
Size: PRIME PX-1600 ATX 3
Got the latest 3.1 ATX compliant unit with the updated 12v-2x6 adapter. Powering a RTX 5090 and 9800X3D with zero issues. 12 year warranty is nice from Seasonic also.

  • DOA - Dead on arrival. Unacceptable for such an expensive PSU. You'd think they'd have better QC!
Size: PRIME TX-1300 ATX 3
I couldn't believe it! After building everything and troubleshooting for hours, I couldn't understand why my PC wouldn't turn on! And then it hit me. So I read the Seasonic manual, and it said to use the tester that came with it. I thought "No way, this is such an expensive item, there's no way..", and then low and behold... the tester showed that the PSU was NOT functioning as it should. Admittedly, had I read the manual and followed step 1 : "Test the PSU first before building." , I wouldn't have wasted so much time and effort. But one of the top of the line PSU's definitely needs better quality control. I was so irked by the DOA unit, I just went with another brand after.. ... show more

  • Seasonic takes care of you!
Size: PRIME TX-1300 ATX 3
Excellent! Well worth the investment if you can afford it. The most important component of a pc. Everything else in your system relies on it, so why not protect them the best you can. The warranty is VERY long, so it could be used on multiple pc builds before you need to upgrade (as long they don't keep changing the GPU power cables. Figure it out NVIDIA!). Seasonic really takes care of you with this PSU. The TX-1300 comes with all the current cables that you will need (including a 12v 2x6). And it comes with a nice PSU tester! I HIGHLY suggest using the tester first, before you get into hooking up any cables to the motherboard. You can even test the PSU without a motherboard. It could save yourself alot time trouble shooting. One GREAT bonus feature of the tester is that it is also a 90 degree adapter for the 24 pin cable. You can leave the tester on and use it permanently (I emailed Seasonic support to confirm). Helps with esthetics and better air flow. Another feature is that it has auto fan mode if you want it quiet. I have not heard it once yet while gaming, so I leave it in standard mode. -VERY SMALL cons: It comes with clear wire combs that I found to difficult to get on to the individual wires. They were very tight, so the wires are difficult to put in. I had to had to stretch them with my teeth (I am not proud about this or recommend). I am still deciding if I like the clear plastic of the combs also. I think I prefer black or white better. The TX-1300 is long. Make sure you have room in the case. I have the FLUX PRO, which has an option of installing a PSU sideways for better cable access. I was not able to use this feature of the case, due to the PSU length. No big deal. All and all, this is a excellent PSU. If you want high quality 1300 watts, this is the one to get! No doubt! ... show more
