While I have had the unit in operation for just a short time, it is performing very well. What I want to focus on in this review is the design of the unit. First off being the footprint, I have a similar wattage power supply that I had intended to use in this PC build but it was too big in one of the dimensions to be able to fit in the case next to my radiator. This is what set me looking and I went right to Seasonic as they are in the top two of my power supply vendors. I was extremely pleased to find that this 1000W power supply is a good inch smaller than my other and fit the footprint bill well. Add to that the fully modular cabling which makes it so much easier to work in the still-limited space remaining and that brings up the second focus of my review, the cabling that is included. The lengths and arrangement of the power connectors on the many included cables covered all of my needs from SATA to water pump to dual CPU connections. The installation was a happy one because of the design, and the performance so far (just a little over a week) has been what I expected from a top name, top of the line PSU. I would also add that I was happy to find that the labeling of the connections and the external side were unlike the photos I had seen, and came out "right side up" with the fan mounted down as in a bottom mount with air intake from the filtered bottom of the case. That's just a nice looking addition to the overall appearance of the system.

This is my first FULLY modular power supply, and I gotta save I love it. It's by Seasonic, so you know it uses high quality capacitors. It's 1,000 Watt so you know it's COMPLETELY overkill for 90% of builds. It's Gold proof, and the jump from Gold to Platinum isn't worth the price difference in my opinion. It's average weight for a power supply. The packaging it came in was high quality. The cables are beautiful compared to other "out of the box" cables. I'm not sure how this is the "cheap" Seasonic series when it's so good. Only thing I don't like about it: Gold accents. My build is black and RGB, and having a static gold accent in my case is a bit annoying, but it's hardly noticeable to the untrained eye. Also, the top circular grate looks a bit cheap compared to other seasonic power supplies that use a more blended look.

I picked this PSU after reviewing and researching a couple articles about the best ATX PSU's for mining rigs and this thing is bad ass, I'm running eight rx 6600 xt's and one rx 5600 xt which is my plowhorse with the unit set on hybrid mode and this thing is proving to be a real golden boy.

This is the second one I received. I sent the first one back because my computer would not boot. Turns out it wasn't the PSU. it was the wires. I tried leaving my fan wires and SATA wires that connect to the PSU from my old PSU intact. turns out you have to replace all the wires. I was hoping not to have to redo wire management.

I've always wanted a seasonic power supply, especially since i read that they do manufacture their own units, unlike most other brands, so i trust seasonic a lot more than other brands because they stand by what they create, plus the 10 year warranty is amazing. now that i have one of these nice power supplies though, i can say for sure that the quality is really awesome, it feels well-made, the cables arent ugly, and knowing i have a seasonic unit makes me feel more confident to overclock further. only downside i can think of was that the cables were stiff, and i used the three of the 6+2 pin cables in my case which ended up being a little bit of a tight fit.

The unit is very quite even when I run load on the system. I am not running a crazy load or something like that, but I think 1000W PSU is plenty for most med to high end system. What bother me the most is the cables, they come sleeved but the 24-pin cable to be specific is very big for my cable room behind MB tray. What interest me when I open it up that it come with 24-pin jumper in the box as long as free 25$ steam card.

So far liking the look of it. I have yet to install as i'm waiting on custom cables to come in for testing. Probably works though. The PSU was was shipped in its own packaging like a sticker was stuck to the front of the PSU box and just sent, nothing to protect it no extra box not even some tape to seal the box anybody could have have picked it up wrong and dropped the contents into the floor. My problem isn't with the PSU but with the way it was shipped, not sure if that's relevant on the review.
