I’ve given 4 stars only because we haven’t gone into cooler water with it yet. This was for our 8 year old and it fit him good and snug. He’s a sensory kid and loved the compression so he wanted to keep it on. About 30 minutes later he comes requesting assistance on getting it off because he was sweaty. This gives me confidence that in cooler water it will do well. It’s built well, the compression is good, it definitely kept him warm out of water, I really feel like this is a quality suit.

Kids can also benefit from inexpensive wetsuits that offer both warmth and sun and watersport protection. This thin 2mm wetsuit is suitable for warm waters and has a front zipper for easy entry but with full-length coverage. This provides low warmth for warmer waters. The downside is that kids grow so quickly that sizing will likely change from season to season. 5* Excellent quality wetsuit. My daughter is about 5 feet tall and wears size 14 in tops and 16 in bottoms. I ordered her size 16 wetsuit, which fit her perfectly except for the length. Which was a little long, but it was not an issue. She wore it to the beach in 90-degree weather. She was warm and cozy in cold water. Before we got the wetsuit, she would not spend much time in the water, but this time was the opposite. The swimsuit is well made, has excellent stitching, and the zipper glides up and down smoothly. It's stretchy and fits her just right—not too tight or loose. The wetsuit did not restrain movements; my daughter was comfortable in it throughout our time at the beach. The wetsuit had a rubbery smell right out of the package, but it dissipated after being air-conditioned for a day. After the beach, my wife rinsed the wetsuit in cold water and let it air dry. Some sand particles were embedded in the outer layer of the wetsuit, but that was to be expected after playing in the sand. Overall, I am happy with this wetsuit.

This wetsuit is ideal for kids. It fits great, is easy to put on and works well for the outdoors. It seems to be well insulated, and durable. I think that it will last a few summers, the material seems to be made from good quality neoprene. Like all wetsuits it is hard to get off when wet but otherwise it is a great option!

We ordered the size 10 four our ten year old daughter. She's a little on the small size for her age and the suit fits her, but there's a little room and the limbs are a little long. Since she just turned 10 and is on the small size, I'd say that's true to size. At least on initial inspection all the zippers and seams seem to be in order. I received a free wetsuit through Amazon Vine in return for an unbiased review.
