Quick Start & Care Guide 1) BEFORE YOUR FIRST CAST • Set spool tension: tighten until the spool has no side-to-side play. • Drop test: press the thumb bar and let a 7g lure fall. It should fall steadily and stop without backlash. Adjust in small steps. • Start with the brake dial at 8–10, then lower it as you get comfortable. 2) BRAKE DIAL REFERENCE (3.5–15g lures) Lure weight | Suggested dial 3.5–7g | 9–10 ; 7–10g | 7–9 ; 10–15g | 6–8 Windy day / first casts | 10, then lower gradually Tip: Backlash? Go up one number. Casts feel short? Go down one number.
