Took forever to arrive. It still hadn't shipped yet close to 3 weeks after ordering. After the delivery window I contacted Amazon and all of a sudden it shipped that day right after talking to them! Not sure what happened there but got it a couple days later. The box is heavy and awkward to move. I let it expand and waited the 24 hours. This thing stinks! I could smell it outside the room and ended up closing the door and opening windows overnight. After 24 hours the smell was less but still there. I've had it 2 days now so I'm sure it will get better. This is probably the most comfortable mattress I've slept on and I've stayed in a bunch of hotels. Getting a new mattress is daunting as returning them seems next to impossible. Several of the foam mattresses had similar star reviews. I looked at most recent. This one seemed to have fewer negatives. My BFF got a Tuft and Needle (which I considered strongly for ease of return). However I have laid on his bed and it was firmer (still comfortable) but their prices had gone up. This one feels cushier, (medium firm is correct). I can still get out of bed easily and sit on the side to put on shoes . No weird smells on mine. Hope it lasts for years to come ... show more

I ordered the cocoon by sealy bed through the direct website and it was going to take a month to deliver. This bed is cheaper, higher in size (12 inch vs 10 inch) and just as soft, if not softer. It''s soft enough to be comfortable and firm enough to support your back (I'm 5'11", 180 lbs). My wife and I slept on an old bed for years. We both had back problems that our old mattress seemed to intensify this. I finally decided to get a new mattress without the old fashioned springs. It took a couple of nights getting use to the different feel but it is a great way (for us) to relieve our back problems. I would recommend this mattress to anyone just needing a good nights sleep, but even more so if there is a back problem to consider. It says medium firm but it’s not. It’s really soft which is good if that’s what you want. I can’t sit in bed and read because I just sink into the bed and can’t sit up no matter how many pillows I use. Comfortable to sleep in but not to sit.
