The thickness is just right to help reduce snoring and it is still soft enough to stay fairly stiff. If I could find one just an inch thicker I would get it as well. It isn't very good at cooling but makes up for it with support. It isn't fluffy at all but since it is memory foam I don't expect it to be. It is good for most females, this one works for a smaller frame. I would suggest looking for one about an inch or so thicker for a man as the shoulders are wider which creates this need. ... show more

It can make me a little hot but I just flip it over. And I wish I'd bought the standard/queen size instead as the king is a bit bigger than I need. I looked back over my Amazon account and I have bought 10 pillows over the last couple years, from down to memory foam, adjustable foam pieces to full adjustable inserts of different lofts. I have learned pillows are as personal as body types, you can't go by reviews for comfort. I would wake up with upper spine pain, neck or shoulder pain as a side sleeper. Alas, one that fits me and my sleep positions. But it stinks. I left it out to air in a guest room for a week, put it on the back porch, in the sun, tried the dryer with extra dryer sheets to refresh it, washed the cover, sprayed febreeze, not as bad but still stinks. I'm sleeping on it with no pain but mouth breathing hoping eventually it will air out. Great pillow for me but hope you have a trick for refreshing the odor. ... show more

I saw several reviews that these pillows had a bad odor, so I unzipped the case and leave it to sit and air out a couple of days and for me there was no odor after that. The pillow tends to let your head sink in to rest but does take a bit to come back to form. So when you’re sleeping, you tend to just be stuck in a hole because you’re not awake enough to move your head up so it can come back up. The pillow overall is hard. I have had the worst nights of sleep with this pillow and now I just can’t stand it, I’m going to have to return it. This is not for side sleepers. Maybe a side sleeping child, but not an adult. It’s far too flat. It’s a super comfy memory foam but it’s not thick or tall enough for a side sleeper. It does make a good back sleeping pillow though. I just never sleep on my back. It’s going on my guest bed now lol.
