I like this bowl. When I first got it I was worried that it would be too small. But it holds a decent amount. I use it mostly for cereal but it's also great for soup and chili. It folds down nice and flat to fit in my cook kit. Its also very easy to clean.

This is a great bowl that I take with my on my travels so I can make instant oatmeal in my hotel room. It pops up with ease (in spite of my arthritic hands), folds nice and flat, washes easily, and is just what I needed. I have only one complaint: it's softness makes it impossible to pick up with one hand like you would a hard-sided bowl. More than once, I've tried to pick it up by an edge and it starts collapsing. So for portability, consider that you will need two hands to move it/hold it and/or you'll need to put it on a plate or tray for carrying. I use this all the time, and not just for traveling. Right now my husband keeps it at work to have his lunch, and it works great. The bottom does get quite hot - it's certainly not temperature-proofed - and I can see that being an issue if you had nowhere to set the bowl down. But if you do, are eating something not burning hot, or have something to protect your hand, it's a great, sturdy bowl and it's easy to clean. If it's flattened out, you could even use the bottom of it as a makeshift cutting board, so there's an extra function there. ... show more

In my opinion, the Sea to Summit X line of products (plates, bowls, cups, mugs) is a standard by which other similar products should be measured. These bowls take up almost no space in your pack. While they are not ultra-lightweight, they aren't particularly heavy. They clean up fairly easily on the trail and, when you get back from your outing, you can toss them in the dishwasher with no fear of damage. Be sure to wash them in the dishwasher in their "expanded" state to get all the gunk out of the folds. ... show more

As I reviewed the larger bowl already, I'll just say this is worth the money and does a great job. I love that I can heat up food in it with my Hot Logic Mini and not have any taste other than my food. It works better than I thought it would.
