If you like to play competitive FPS like COD Ranked play, consider this review! I Had my eye on a scuf since last year. However I Bought the scuf pro and wasn’t too happy with it due to getting stick drift within the first 3 weeks of having it so I returned it. Saw this controller with anti drift sticks, 4 paddles, & click triggers for less than $110. Was a bit timid but thought “hey I could get it and if it sucks I’ll return it”. I was playing on an elite 2 prior however stick drift, input delay & everything was kicking my tail. FIRST THOUGHTS : When I got the controller, I loved how small it was. It was very comfy, click triggers was amazing, the contour bumpers was great, 2 rear paddles are a bit stiff however the other 2 in front of the main, are mouse click paddles. The soft touch front was very comfy. Overall, controller felt great. GAMING EXPERIENCE REVIEW : When I plugged it in, it took an hour to adjust from the elite to the scuf. Make sure you fix your deadzones and find your sweet spot. I shoot and aim with my LB & RB adjusted everything. LET ME TELL YOU!! I FELT A DIFFERENCE!! The way I shot, the way I moved, I felt FASTER!! I was amazed at how responsive everything was. I’m on xbox, so I was very shocked. That day I gained 30 SR (won 10 games on a hard stuck plat and hit diamond). I felt faster, quicker, & more confident If you’re looking to getting a competitive controller, I highly recommend this! I have big hands and this controller is very nice for my hands to wrap around. I hate programming a controller to use on my Xbox. This is so easy to set up and i spend more time playing the game. I am a FPS and the trigger stops are very nice. The motion of the thumb stick is very smooth and my aim is better. Rubber grips are the best! This controller is easy to set up and it is a Pro controller. I purchased an X box Elite 2 controller at the same time to test them out. I am returning the Xbox Elite. 2 controller. BUYER BEWARE: This has the potential to be an awesome product. The controller feels great, plays great. The issue is that they have released this product without releasing the necessary software to configure the thing on Xbox! It’s “coming soon” as of October, but now it’s mid December with no update. Shame on me for buying before doing research, but in my opinion you shouldn’t release a product for purchase until it’s finished unless explicitly stated otherwise. ... show more

    • My hands don't hurt anymore

As a try-hard enjoyer of movement based FPS like WH40K Darktide, I wear out an average of one controller per year. My previous controller was a Power A, which was very nice, but the covering wore off of the non-replacable sticks. I also noticed that my hands would hurt after extended gaming sessions, and I would have to take breaks of several days from certain games to recover. The shape and position of the back buttons on the Valor Pro took some time to adjust to, but now that I'm used to it, they feel completely natural and my hands feel great after gaming all day. The build quality is nice too. It reminds me of the Super NES era hardware and accessories. The button presets are also quick and easy to program and select. For a little over a hundred bucks, this sits right in the sweet spot of being nice enough to actually last and perform well while also not being so expensive that it'll be painful to replace when inevitably wears out down the line.     • Very sensitive but buggy

It's a good controller but has issues. On the good side, the responsiveness is very sensitive. You might find you're doing things you don't mean to, but I like the sensitivity. So far I've had it 4 months,and it is holding up well. On the bad side, if I leave my headset plugged in, the sound crackles until I unplug it and plug back in. Sometimes on start up the controller shuts off, and I have to press the jewel to get it to turn on. But then it's good to go. Also there's just too many volume controls for the headset. One volume wheel is for chat, the other is for game sound.... All those settings are in the Xbox, but sometimes the settings change in the controller and I have to spin both knobs to get sound where I want it. Not sure if mine is defective, but I think next SCUF I get won't have the buttons underneath or the volume controls. ... show more

    • Great handles, but needs better analog sticks, menu buttons, and shoulder buttons

I wanted to like this controller, but ultimately I decided to return it. The handles are very comfortable and feel great, but the analog sticks feel weird and inconsistent in game, less precise than the Instinct or Elite controller. The position of the start and back buttons makes them difficult to press. They should be further down instead of so high, near the top of the controller. I thought the LB and RB buttons would be nice because they curve around the edges of the controller better, but they are too easy to press and are easily pressed by mistake. They need to require more pressure to press and I think they need to change the design to be more like the standard Xbox controller. The good: Handles are very comfortable, feel great The bad: Analog sticks are imprecise and inconsistent. LB and RB buttons are too big and too easy to press, making them easy to press by mistake. Start and Back buttons are too high on the controller and too difficult to reach with your thumb. Buy Scuf's Instinct controller instead, it's perfect and worth the extra $ ... show more

Honestly this controller has a very nice smooth response coming from someone with over 100 controllers. I would highly recommend this over the pro controllers. I truly believe that wired always works better over wireless but I think in my opinion it gives a peace of mind while others may not agree
