The new Definition 3mm Steamer is built with the body map system, a manufacturing method that uses a 3D cut, special tailoring and material inserts to create a suit that fits the body like a glove, provides extra stretch where it's needed most, and offers a level of warmth, comfort and durability well-suited to active divers everywhere. It not only excels in keeping you warm, its Ultraspan chest panel and Stretchtec side panels team up to deliver lots of stretch for the ultimate in comfort and range of motion. In addition, it includes special tailoring to create a suit that fits the body like no other and provides extra stretch in all the right places. The infrared fleece interior lining reflects body heat to ratchet up warmth even more, plus it's comfortable as can be against the skin. I had been using an old Hederson 'gold core' wetsuit for scuba diving for the past 20 years. Finally replaced it with this wetsuit and the difference in warmth was significant. Old wetsuit was 3mm also, but no comparison in terms of thermal protection. I did have to increase my weight belt by 2 lbs for this suit compared to old one. Even at the end of my 4th dive on the day, I was still feeling warm. The biggest usage difference was the inclusion of very sturdy zippers on the legs and arm which made putting the suit on and taking it off much easier. Very happy with this purchse. ... show more

    • Will not fit big and tall men and zipper placement issues

Won't fit big and tall people. I tried the 3xl and it got stuck at my shoulder blades. Even with a buddy zipping this it will be a very tight fit. The zipper is also not directly aligned with your spine so this means the zipper can catch on your shoulder blades. Wear a rash guard as this zipper can an will catch if shoulder area is tight. If you are 6'5+ and 230+ this suit will not be a good fit in 3xl. There is no 4xl or 3xlt so looks like scuba pro does not want business. Regarding quality, the suit is worth the money if it fits you...if not go with Bare reactive (3xl) or similar vendor that actually fits larger men (with wider shoulders and frames). For reference I'm 6'5.5 and 240lbs. This suit ripped up my back, caught my rash guard and refused to zip and would fall down my back every time I zipped due to my shoulders needing to moved to grab the zipper. I think a buddy could zip this... But you will not be comfortable in upper back/shoulders. ... show more

Awesome wet suit, however, it was way to tight around the arms and chest and I already ordered it one size bigger. So I will be exchanging for yet another size up. Otherwise great suit.

I am so so disappointed! I was so excited to receive my first wetsuit and it was just impossible to put on! So hard to imagine that this design passed the design test! The side zipper just don't work! I am a product designer and manufacturer myself for over 35 years. I never lunch to the market somthing that was not tested before to make sure the product is working. Please understand, the suit is beautiful. Made great but what the use if you can't put it on? I already started the return process but I have to admit I am going for other scubapro 3mm suit with the straight zipper with hope that this will work. I just love the design too much to give up.. Purchased this wetsuit to replace a 3mm merino wool suit. It does keep me warm, but I had to double my weights to be able to go down. I normally dive with 10 pounds. With this suit I need 18 to 20 pounds. I stopped using it.
