Another great quality product from Gearwrench! I should have bought this 15 years ago when I first started wrenching on cars. When I first heard of a serpentine belt tool, I laughed at the idea of an extra long ratchet just for serpentine belt tensioners. Then the first time I used it, the ease of use made me realize I was a fool for waiting so long to purchase one. I have also used the ratchet wrench to get in tight areas where I could use the extension as a breaker bar, and it holds strong.     • Works for 2007 Toyota RAV4 with a deeper 19mm socket. Better use a long flex-head 19mm wrench
I used it on 2007 Toyota RAV4 2.4L base to replace serpentine belt. This tool is a universal tool designed for removing serpentine belts but for RAV4 you will have to use a deeper 19mm socket than the one provided in this set. You will not be able to use just this set alone to replace the serpentine belt on a 2007 RAV4. Fortunately, the set also includes the 3/8 inch drive socket that allows you to use any of your own 19mm sockets so you can pick the proper depth. The biggest downside of this tool is that it doesn't have a flex-head so it is hard to use it at an angle. For 2007 RAV4, I'd probably prefer to use a long 19mm flex-head wrench instead of this tool. Having said that the tool provides enormous leverage on the tensioner and allows you to compensate by accessing the tensioner from multiple locations. I found that putting the serpentine belt back was easier from underneath the front right wheel well on RAV4 rather than from the top since the tool lacks the flex-head but allows enormous leverage making access from awkward locations possible. since it provides enormous leverage on the belt tensioner. This thing way overperformed. I had to use this as a breaker bar to get some bolts loose on my brake caliper brackets and it worked great. If it can handle the amount of pressure i put it through, there are no tension or idler pulleys that could not be broken loose with this tool. A very grateful two thumbs up! ... show more

Buy this serpentine belt tensioner set! Buy it now!! After fighting for two hours with a cobbled-together combination of wrenches trying to replace the serpentine belt on my Honda, I finally bought this kit. Boom -- the belt was on in a matter of minutes! The ratcheting end has plenty of clicks to allow you to move the wrench to the maximum extent prior to moving the idler pulley. The longer torsion bar can then be fit to again allow maximum movement of the pulley. With my prior tries, I just couldn't get enough movement of the pulley without bumping into the front of the engine compartment. This set allowed me to get the full range of movement of the idler pulley. ... show more
