I will start by saying the bird feeder itself is really nice. It was easy to set up and feels sturdy. The camera is easy to install and charged pretty quickly on an older USB charging brick. Here's the reason for the one star. You cannot view any pictures on their app without a subscription ($60 annually). This is a $180 bird feeder. Why can't I at least view pictures via the app? Such a scam. I would understand limiting live streaming or utilizing the AI features for a premium; but basic image viewing? Ridiculous. I'd you don't mind paying extra or are an avid bird watcher then this probably isn't a major turn off. But for the casual backyard bird enjoyer, the annual subscription is a scummy money grab. Buyer be warned.

Bird feeder holds a lot of bird seed and keeps that part dry. Only seed that gets wet is the space in front which is good because that is small amount. You can see pictures of birds or go live and watch on the app on your cell phone or tablet/Ipad. My husband and I both have the app and can look anytime. The camera runs by solar power and works very well. Pictures can be downloaded if you want. App keeps all pictures and movement for several days. You can get a subscription which gives info on birds in your pictures but it is not required to use feeder. Got it for early Christmas gift, so have used it over 2 months and yesterday when I opened the app, it said time to clean bird feeder. The house part that keeps seed is dry and clean, only part that looks like it would need cleaning is where the birds and squirrels stand on. Anyway, we have got a lot of entertainment watching them. We like this feeder.

This FeatherSnap smart bird feeder was so easy to set up. Within about 5 minutes, I had my first pictures sent to my phone. It took the birds a few hours to get used to it, but I started getting pictures and great videos the first day! The feeder is really well built and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. It came with a mounting bracket and strap. I chose to screw it in to the wall instead of strapping it to a tree. My wife, kids and I are really enjoying the AI bird book and identifying the different species. I’ve used a few of these feeders and can say this is the best by far! Unlike the other brands on Amazon, you can tell this is made with pride and has a nice American touch! It does require a purchase to take advantage of all the features, but the bird book/facts alone are worth it. Great purchase! Highly recommended as a gift or for your family!

What a complete waste of money. The software to connect the feeder to your phone via Bluetooth and then your router via WiFi is terrible. Had to go through the setup process several times before it finally connected and once installed in the feeder, it kept disconnecting even though it was only 15 feet away from my router. After repeated attempts to reconnect, I finally gave up and now it’s just an overpriced bird feeder that doesn’t do anything more than a regular feeder. Don’t waste your money or your time.
