In addition, the added fertilizer feeds grass to crowd out future weeds and build strong, deep roots to withstand Southern stressors. Scotts® Turf Builder® Bonus® S Southern Weed & Feed2 is for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass only. Apply to a dry lawn when grass and weeds are actively growing. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 ¼. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 7 ¼. The product must be watered in immediately after application. Do not apply during winter dormancy period - wait until after the third mowing of the season to apply. Do not apply with a hand-held spreader. Do not apply to Bermudagrass. Used this product for years and absolutely works over a few weeks following application. However, the bag I recently ordered was extremely clumped and very difficult to use in spreader. Clumps ranged from golf ball to softball in size and has taken a lot longer time to break up. I should have returned the bag as it was essentially useless had I not taken the time to break up large clumps taking up 50% of the bag volume. ... show more

i looked everywhere and this is the best value around for this product. It works pretty good on my lawn as well and the grass greens up nicely after application. If you have a lot of dollar weed/weeds you will likely need to apply other products as well. If you only have a few weeds it may handle killing those and feeding your grass. ... show more

This is used in Southwestern part of Florida. Fertilizers the grass very well but only for few weeks, bright green color changes to pale green after some time. Does not kill weeds. Dollar weed still there, grows along the grass. The only positive effect against weeds is grass by growing too thick push’s weeds out to some degree. ... show more
