Need assembly on arrival which is basic and very easy. Come with an adapter so you can use it on premixed liquids (RTU) containers. Fits comfortably on the back. Comes with USB A to C plug and USB A charger. I'd prefer if companies stop supplying these as everybody has them and all they do is fill up the landfill. I'm guessing they charge and test the unit prior to boxing as it reached full charge in less than 15 minutes and there was some very minor moisture inside the tank. That's a plus for QC. Has two filters, one on entry to the tank which is removable for easy cleaning and what looks like a finer one in the bottom. The spray handle has the pump inside it (which allows you to use the sprayer on the RTU containers. It quickly charges with product and starts spraying. The instruction are clear and the product is pretty well made. I doubt there will be any manufacturing defects as Scotts is pretty well known brand. The specs are 22psi as maximum pressure which I believe. My go to sprayer is a pump sprayer that I have modified with a Schrader valve to pressurize with my compressor. I limit that to 30 psi as the plastic tanks are not rated, however even with that limit I'm still able to manually pump more air into it if I wanted to so there is no safety risk. I bring this up just to compare the spray patterns and distance with this Scotts unit. At 30 psi my pump sprayer can shoot farther than this so the 22 psi is probably accurate. There are a few downsides to this unit. First the extension wand is too short, it requires you to bend down to do spot spraying on plants (to minimize drift). Second the cone patterns really favors the outside edge ( determined by spraying in concrete to view pattern). The cone pattern "mist" is also very hard to see, I would recommend a spray indicator dye. The fan pattern for me worked the best. The stream pattern dumps a lot of product quickly and reaches the farthest. The back harness is made of metal and configured so you can set in on the ground and it will stand on its own. The sprayer wand fits in a couple of slot on the harness for storage so it's not dragging or hanging down. It's easy to clean as the fill opening is pretty large (approx. 5 inches). All in all a nice sprayer if you have a lot of product to spray. Not having to carry around my pump sprayer (by the pump handle) and constantly pressurizing it make the 3-4 time a year weeds spraying a dream (Usually requires 2-3 gallons each time). However for smaller quantity jobs, I'll still go to my modified pump sprayer. If I want an even application of product (ex spraying insecticide on the perimeter of the house) I will still use this as the fan pattern will be excellent for that. I would have given 5 stars if the wand extension was a little longer and the cone pattern was a little better. ... show more

Overall, this is a nice and functional backpack sprayer for the do-it-yourselfer. It does an excellent job of taking the strain out of weed removal when compared to the traditional pump style sprayers. I've summarized my experience below that contributed toward the overall star rating: ✅ = Positive Experience 😐 = Neutral Experience 👎 = Negative Experience ✅ This backpack sprayer requires minimal assembly. The set up was straightforward and it only took me about 5 minutes start to finish. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. ✅ One nice feature with this backpack sprayer is you can bypass the tank and attach the handheld wand directly to a weed killer bottle that you get from any store. While I probably wouldn't use it much, it is a nice alternative if you don't feel like mixing your solution. 😐 The spray pattern attachment nozzle works well. It has 3 settings; Stream, Cone or Fan. I feel like there is no in-between with the spray pattern though. I mostly use the nozzle setting designed for spot spraying, but the stream comes out with a lot of power and tends to over spray the solution. While the other two settings don't spray with as much force, they spray a wider area so it isn't functional for spot spraying. ✅ The battery life is good. I've been able to use this a few times on one full charge, so there is no complaint when it comes to battery life. The light indicator flashes green while charging and is also an indicator that the wand has a "sufficient charge"; yellow light for "medium charge"; and red means "low battery, need to charge". 👎 The one this this backpack sprayer is missing is padding on the backside of the tank. I own a different brand electric backpack sprayer that I use for pest control and it has padding on the backside of the tank. It makes a big difference when you're carrying a full tank of solution and walking around the yard. ... show more

I recently received the Scotts 2 Gallon Lithium-Ion Power Wand Backpack Sprayer and I'm already impressed. I've used pump sprayers for years, and honestly, my arm would get tired quickly. This power wand is a game-changer! The lithium-ion battery provides consistent pressure, making watering, fertilizing, and tackling weeds so much easier and more efficient. The spray is even and covers a good area without constant pumping. The wand itself is comfortable to hold and the adjustable nozzle is a nice feature for different tasks. The 2 gallon capacity is a good balance enough to cover a decent portion of my yard without being too heavy to carry on my back. The backpack straps are also comfortable and adjustable, which is a big plus. Assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were clear. Charging the battery was also simple.
