Back before I knew these existed, I cut the stock wiring harness plugs and hard wired the new unit with wire connectors. I'm older and wiser now and will never do that again. These are a must have for a cleaner and easier installation. The wire colors are standardized so they match up to the wire colors of the head unit. Easy peasy. I would recommend that you solder the wires together and use close ended wire connectors to insulate. ... show more
