I was pleasantly surprised that these were actually pretty good quality plastic. The dimensions were accurate and they are sturdy material. I didn't have time to completely make a custom set of adapters so i used these to extend the depth for some Pioneer Pro 6.5 mid-bass speakers to mount in a Jeep Wrangler roll bar... worked great with a few small mods and an easy custom .25 inch mounting plate. ... show more

These are quality pretty sturdy and the cost is excellent. I’m using some monster mid bass drivers with huge motors (silver flute) and these rings have no issue. I used MDF for years but eventually they will need to be changed due to moisture destroying them. I’ve tried to coat the edges of mdf and while it adds time it still swells and comes apart over time. The only other way I can see making a better ring is out of delrin but obviously it will cost much more. ... show more
