This 6 pk of everyday, light duty, sharp, stainless steel blade scissors are great to have stashed in different areas of the house, available close at hand when needed. They have soft, comfortable to hold handles that, are the same on each side and can be used with the right or left hand. They are 8" long and 3" at the widest point of the handles. The stainless steel blades are sharp and will cut cleanly through paper, cardstock, light to medium cardboard, light to medium fabric, thread, yarn and, twine. With care, using them on just paper or just fabric each and, not using them on too thick material or tape that will gum them up, they should last a long time.

I finally replaced that scissors in my kitchen junk drawer. You know the one, it's the one you reach for 3 or more times a day and swear you are going to replace soon. The one that can no longer cut the wax paper off a stick of butter. Enter into the picture a sharp scissor. Wow! I know this isn't the quality scissor you need in a professional setting but for me, as my go to utility scissors, it is like a new appliance, and I have 5 more in the pack so I can replace it often. I got this 6-Pack Multipurpose Scissors so I will not have to look around for scissors all the time. I hate it when I cannot find a pair of scissors when I need to cut something. That is why I got this 6-pack of scissors. I can place a pair in every room and won't have to go looking any more. These scissors are lightweight and very easy to hold. Easy to use and cut things. They open and close very easily. Sharp and cut anything. Comes in 6 different colors, so there is a pair and color for anyone. They are really good for using for everyday use, crafts, paper, I even cut up an old shirt with a pair and made in into a cleaning rag. For the price, you can't beat this bargain. Just a little over a dollar a pair, can't beat that. Good scissors that work great. Highly Recommend Them.

The blades of the scissors are thin and may bend if cutting something thick. The non-cutting edges are not rounded and can scratch your skin if the scissors brush against it. The thumb handle is squared off instead of having a entry angle. This makes it a little uncomfortable for the thumb. The scissors cut paper and thin plastic except for the very tip of the scissors. The front tip does not overlap when the scissors are completely closed, so they cannot cut all the way to the tip. The blade itself did not look like the sharp edge was flat all the way from the beginning to the end of the cutting area and holding a straight edge to the blade confirmed this.

The Amazon description suggests these scissors are good for students, so I bought the pack as stocking-stuffers for my six grandchildren, all of whom are fairly grown up but not good at keeping track of things. These scissors are surprisingly sharp for such inexpensive tools; I used one to cut through 7 layers of paper and card stock with not a lot of effort. They're also very lightweight, partly because unlike more expensive scissors, they have stainless steel blades but not-very-comfortable plastic handles. Compared to 8" and 9" scissors I've had for forty years, these seem transient, intended to last for a semester or two. But at this price, I don't mind. And if they get mislaid by careless young folk, it doesn't matter.

I was so tired of my students complaining about the old, school scissors that I decided we needed an upgrade, and upgrade we did. They are very sharp and easy to hold. My students are happy and so am I. If the company wanted to make the product even better, I would suggest including one pair of left-handed scissors in the set.
