For my home office to replace old solar calendar. Batteries were included. It has all the functions I need and way more that I don't use such as the graphing and algebra/calculus functions but nice they are available. Included Instruction manual good also.

This is a good calculator and it has a lot of cool features but it is very confusing. The calculator is made of a black plastic and it is very lightweight. The screen though is not as bright as the photo making it harder to see what you are doing. I also notice that since it has so many features, it is hard to navigate the calculator and the instructions don't really explain the use very well. Also, the graphing aspect is not the best and it is hard to make a graph or read the graph.

My husband questioned why I ordered this, when he has a TI-84 from when he was in school. I asked if he was going to let our kids use it, and he agreed it was a good thing to order. You definitely need the instructions and to keep them nearby. I have them rubber banded to the case. They are pretty easy to follow with plenty of examples of what the screen should display. For our kids, they don't have the TI knowledge so learning this calculator's modes and functions should not be an issue. I am confident this will be more than they need to get through high school's math and chemistry classes.

It’s rare to see a graphing calculator at this price point. Yes, it does produce graphs, but the tradeoff is that it does not produce all of the graphs that more expensive calculators produce. Whether you buy this depends on your school or job function. If you need a basic graphing calculator for school, you’ll be fine. If you need something more sophisticated, this calculator may or may not meet your needs.
