  • Pretty Good Kit
I helped one 10 year old assemble this kit and it went pretty well, taking about an hour. The assembly instructions are pretty good but there could be more information on operating the radio. I still don't know how the tuning is supposed to work. Apparently you are supposed to just twist the wires onto the speaker terminals but this did not work. I ended up soldering them on but this is supposed to be a no-solder kit. I would use this kit again with another class. ... show more

  • Not bad
Fun little kit. Not the highest of quality which impacts the experience, but overall, you still can have fun building this and teaching kids about radio technologies!

  • Fun, great reception.
Amazingly fun. Put together while having morning coffee. Decorated with decals. Reception was outstanding, over twenty stations were picked up clearly. Not bad for a ten dollar radio you put together yourself.

  • Cute project with Issues
The media could not be loaded. Happy to do this project, but the speaker had solder covering one terminal.. not a super big issue but the instructions showed just running the wire through the terminal hole which I didn't feel comfortable with so I snipped and soldered the connections to the speaker.... Again not a problem up until this point for me.. but upon completing the project the radio is stuck on full volume because the volume up button has no functionality and seems to be stuck in the depressed position rendering turning the volume down impossible. ... show more
