I've been learning to play violin now for eight months and am working on finger speed and single-stroke bowing. This book has me focusing on the speed and even-ness of my bowing, and smooth finger changes on single strings (so far). I appreciate the challenge and am a little awed already at my progress as I work toward the goal of moving my fingers fast enough and slowing the bow enough to play single lessons with one bow stroke.
