I bought this because the price was right for a 24 bottle wine cooler. I was able to comfortably fit 22-23 bottles of wine into the cooler. The metal wire wine racks are somewhat flimsy and could use some reinforcement. However, the biggest issues is the noise level. It is in the main dining/living area and the compressor sputters to life every 4 minutes to maintain the temperature at 57 F. It is far too noisy for this space and I am considering returning this unit. Otherwise, the look and function is adequate for the price. ... show more

As with most things you get what you pay for and this wine refrigerator is no exception. I bought this to replace a large high-end unit because we were remodeling that area of our house and we don't drink as much wine as we used to. Maybe it's because I was used to a better brand but the quality of this one is poor. From the flimsy wire racks to the noise level this unit just says "junk". Also, because it's small, when you open the door all the cold air comes out and it takes a long time for it to recover- and this is in a very cool room with an AC vent just above it. If you plan to put this in a warm area of your house it's not going to work. The unit also generates a lot of heat (it's actually warm to the touch) and the manual says to leave 10" of space all around it and not to place anything on top. So unless you have that kind of location I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, it seems adequate for our purposes right now but frankly I wish I would have purchased a bit larger and more expensive unit and eventually I plan to do just that. ... show more

Th only issue that I had with this product was the delivery. I found a large box on my front porch without any markings, the door bell was not rung, nor e-mail received to alert me that it had arrived. I expected to see markings indicating “fragile” or “this side up” but those were not found. I did find them on the box inside of the plain box after I removed it. I followed the instructions and allowed the unit to sit for three hours before I plugged it in, and it has been working perfectly and I can not tell if it is running unless everything in the house is quiet. I am not sure what the other reviewers did that yielded the poor results indicated, however when you have coolant and a compressor you can not move it somewhere without allowing the coolant to settle. i received it yesterday, kept it upright for 4 hours after removing packaging (as per the instructions), then plugged it in...it made some noise for the first 45 seconds, and has been purring ever since...i left it empty overnight, then filled it this morning...it took less than an hour for the filled unit (all the bottles were room temp when they went in) to reach my cooling temp of 62 for all reds. it is very attractive, and when the inside lighting is on, looks very cool. highly recommend. ... show more

I originally bought this item for my best friend’s birthday. She was so excited to receive it. When I gave it to her, she plugged it in and the fridge did not get cold. The temperature was not changing from the house temperature. It was broken. This was very frustrating especially because this was a gift and I trusted this company to give me a working item. I inquired with support, and they had me send pictures to ensure we were doing everything right. We agreed I was, and they recognized it was a faulty product. So, they said they would send a new one. A few days later, they told me they were out of stock and would send me another wine fridge from their sister company. They told me it was practically identical. I said fine, because I really had no other option. The product arrived and this time, not only was it internally damaged, it was externally damaged. See attached for photos of that. It was so banged up and physically damaged. We attempted to turn it on—no luck. This thing didn’t even turn on, let alone work. So now, I have received 2 faulty products from this company, and have been over 3 months of back and forth trying to get things fixed. After receiving the second faulty product, I decided enough was enough. I just needed my money back. So, I once again sent them the Kyoto’s of the broken item. The customer service rep just said they have scheduled a UPS pickup and the pickup will come 3 times to attempt to pick up the item. What does that even mean? They provided me with no date or time the ups pickup is scheduled to come, no confirmation or tracking number of the ups pickup, and no instructions. It is beyond frustrating and all I can say is STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and making any sort of purchases from them. ... show more

I've had it a month now and am very happy with this wine frig. I put a very sensitive thermometer in it to see how accurate the reading on the frig control panel is. The reading is within one degree +/-, so the frig temp is accurate. It is also very quiet. It's not completely silent, no refrigerator is. It "hums" a bit and has a little "shudder" when it shuts off but that's about it. The construction is sturdy and it looks sleek. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

Just received this 24 bottles wine cooler, I am trying to adjusting the temperature to make it lower but it will not stay on as it was set. The temperature only stay on at 65 degree F. I will give a try for a week and see if it will go down from 65 degree F to 44 degree F as I set it. If it does not work, I will return it. The noise of the fan is ok but the temperature control need to be redesigned and make it very simple to change it. ... show more

This item is of excellent quality . However this item is advertised as a 24 bottle capacity. Not so . Model No SHMFWCC241LB. It only holds 16 wine bottles and 2 champagne or rounder bottles. That is only 18 count. There is a small flat shelve that will not hold a bottle seems to store a flat item. My concern is that I needed a. 24 bottle cooler not an 18 bottle cooler. Therefore deceptive advertisement. A credit should be awarded or a price adjustment made. It is inconvenient to return due to distance.
