I am an amateur at trimming my husband’s hair, but have been doing it for a couple years now, using my sharpest small sewing scissors. When I saw these offered, I ordered them right away. There were visual instructions on the order site showing the proper way to hold them when using. This was helpful for me. They are very attractive with polished and painted surfaces in black and gold, and were also very sharp. The blunted tips are safer to use when trimming rogue hairs from around the ears. They did a great job all around. Since they are made of what seems like a good quality stainless steel, they should last a long time with care. Included was a small coin-like device to adjust the tension, if needed. It has a tiny hole which I used to insert a ribbon for hanging it nearby where I could find it again. They are priced a lot less than other similar scissors and this low price is probably why they do not come with a suitable storage container or case. They do come in a thin plastic covering. The product can also be purchased in a set with trimming shears. I thought they were very comfortable and easy to use. A good purchase!

I'm one of the many who stopped going to a hairdresser during the pandemic and then, as time went on, realized I could just as easily save the money and cut my own hair. Coming across these hair cutting scissors made me think about how mine, now decades old, were perhaps not as sharp as they could be. And, in fact, it's amazing to me how sharp these are and how well they work to trim my hair quickly and cleanly. My one concern is that the finger holes are too small for my average-sized fingers, at least 1/8" smaller than the holes in my old pair of scissors. I'm still able to cut with them, if a little awkwardly, and will continue to use and enjoy them. But keep this in mind if that would bother you.

The cost of haircuts has gotten to the point that my husband and I prefer to “do it ourselves.” In other words, we’re old enough that we just don’t care enough to spend our dollars on that aspect of our appearance, LOL! He usually takes care of his own hair with a razor but there’s always a cowlick or two that needs to be tamed with scissors. I, on the other hand, have long hair with a wave that I try to trim once or twice a year to keep the split ends at bay. When I received the opportunity to try this beautiful pair of scissors I decided to go for it since we usually just grab whichever pair is closest (but rarely the sharpest). Having a designated pair might just make us hair stylists yet! I’m impressed with the quality and hope they’ll stay sharp for years to come. I trim my own bangs at home and the scissors I’ve been using are pretty aged and cheap. These are a nice upgrade! They’re a little heavier than I was expecting, but hopefully that means they’ll stay sturdy. These arrive sharpened and ready to cut. I snipped my bangs and they worked well. I like the little rubberized nubbin that keeps the scissors from banging together and keeps the parts cushioned. My minor gripe is that I wish the plasticy sleeve that houses the scissors for storage was more durable; mine fell apart day one. Overall, these scissors will give you a reliable trim without breaking the bank!

These are much flashier looking than I would ordinarily buy, but I needed a new set of shears and these were incredibly cheap. I'm surprised by how well they cut. The blades are straight and sharp, and they connect evenly from the hinge down to the tips of the blades. I have an absolute ton of hair. I used them to trim the ends, and they did a fine job. They cut my hair without chewing it. IYKYK. The only thing I don't like is the rounded tip. I'm used to pointed tips. As to ergonomics, there is no such thing as ergonomically correct for everyone. They might be ergonoimcally correct for you, or they might not. There's no way to know without trying them. If you have larger hands, these might be challenging to use. For the price, they're a pretty good bargain I think.

This set of cutting shears feels high quality and made from sturdy, heavy metal. They need some oil immediately out of the package, as they squeak quite a bit while first using, but after some adjustment they are awesome to use. They are a two-tone gold and black color, which gives them a little character, and overall is a great set of shears to have in your collection.
