I have personally used this for a surgical facial scar and an arm laceration that was the result of a fall. I have had great results with both wounds and I am recommending it to my patients. The silicone in Scar Science feels like a high end moisturizer. It goes on smooth and is not greasy or tacky like some other silicone products. Third - The Push Button Dispenser: To use the gel you push the bottom button and the gel comes right onto the brush. I love that I can apply without touching the gel with my hands. I like the unique pen style of this scar serum. It comes in a tube that has a button on the bottom that you push in to pump the gel up into the brush head. The brush is ultra soft. To get the gel started, you just give it a few pumps until you see the gel start to emerge up through the brush. Then, you just brush the gel over the scarred area. The gel goes on clear and dries quickly. It's going to take a while to know if it's working on my old scars, but if it works to diminish my scars appearance, I'll come back and add the fifth star on my review. ... show more

I got this scar serum because I have a lot of scars from mosquito bites on my legs. It is very easy to apply as it comes with a brush applicator, and you just push the button. It says to use it twice daily for 8-12 weeks; and I’ve used it for about 3 weeks now and don’t see any differences yet. This does not work. I tried it on my recent and old scars twice a day for a week and saw no difference so i stopped using it. If it sounds too good it means it is.

This product has been working wonders on my scars (I have a few raised ones). What I love about it is that you don't have to touch the stuff to apply it - it just uses this awesome brush that you apply right on the scar. It's soft and feels soothing during application. I make sure to wash my scar before doing this and also wash the brush per the instructions. Since I have seen such results in a short time, I am excited to see what this does after a few months! ... show more

This scar serum is very easy to use. It comes with a very soft brush, which makes application completely free of mess. The gel itself is clear and seems unscented. It isn't very thick and gets absorbed pretty quickly. This product is made in USA, so you get peace of mind using it even on the face.     • Applicator brush doesn't seem hygienic
This silicone serum is working and I'm glad to have it as an option in treating scars. I have scars both on my face and body that I am using it on, and it the first application seemed to make a difference. It seems to slowly be healing a little bit more each day. But this has two negatives that keep it from being my first choice in treating scars. First, I am testing it against vitamin E, and the vitamin E seems to be working just as well, at a lot lower cost. Second, the brush seems really unhygienic to me. Not only can this not be shared with others, but I'm only comfortable using the brush directly after a shower to minimize the spread of germs, so it keeps me from using it as often as I would otherwise. I do often pump extra silicone onto the top of the brush and just rub it in with my fingers, like I do the vitamin E oil, but feel like I'd much rather have a pump than a brush on this. ... show more

It goes on like serum, as its name, very thin, liquidity, and wet. I had imagined more of a gel and something that stays visible on top of the skin, but this almost disappears and there’s no additional thick layer on top of the skin like a band. It takes a while to dry, so I apply it and do other things while waiting for it to dry. It’s super easy to apply, like clicking a pen and then just brushing it on. I’m using it on my recent C section cut, which is still sensitive, and have had no issues. ... show more
