The ink maintenance box has strong ink absorption capabilities, effectively collecting excess ink and preventing spills from contaminating the inside of the printer. It looks almost the same as the original. The top isn't flat and had foil on it that is not supposed to be removed. My original isn't full yet so will use this when it is.
