  • Super solid and lasts for years!
Color: Antiqued White Finish
I bought this Sauder Harbor View Storage Cabinet in Antique White finish years ago in 2014, and we have been using it ever since. It is ridiculously solid, quite heavy, the wood is thick (this isn't cheap veneer, folks!), and while it took a while for one person (me - I'm a woman) to assemble, it wasn't overly difficult. Your biggest hurdle about this one is that it is very solid and how heavy it is when putting it together, so definitely enlist some help with this one. I initially used it for storing extra linens and such, but when we pared down our things a while ago, I cleared this out and started using it as a much-needed craft cabinet. It stores TONS of crafts in the roomy and deep shelves, and the doors, hinges, trim, and overall paint job has been holding up extremely well, with lots and lots of use over the past 4-5 or so years. I haven't had to adjust anything or fix anything on it yet, it opens and shuts perfectly STILL (a feat I don't think I can say about another piece of furniture with hinges - normally, you end up having to adjust it here and there), and I use it often on a near-daily basis. It functions flawlessly and it's extremely sturdy. The antique white has a distressed look to it that's tasteful, with a cream color that goes well with just about any decor. This is one of those items that look way nicer in person than in the pictures, and I have nothing but good things to say about this cabinet. The style is pretty timeless. I STILL love it, and will be looking to order another one for another room pretty soon to replace it, because I like it so much. Overall, the quality is excellent, and if you have qualms about its longevity, I can assure you this storage cabinet was built to last for years and years once you properly assemble it. After nearly 5 years of use, it still looks fairly new! While this worked well for linen/bath storage, it also works great as a craft cabinet...and would look adorable in a nursery, too. It really is quite versatile and will work well for whatever you need to use it for, in just about any area of your home. I would give this 10 stars, if I could! Two thumbs up! ... show more

  • Surprisingly roomy and pretty
Color: Antiqued White Finish
This is a remarkably pretty cabinet. It took about two hours to assemble it. They assembly was not difficult, just time consuming due to there being a lot of various parts, but the instructions were unusually easy to follow and well written in clear simply precise English. The finish is a warm cream color, with slightly darker streaks to imitate a washed finish to the wood. It looks like real wood too although it is particle board. This is a perfect size and shape for so many areas of walls and fits into a lot of nooks and crannies in our home. I would actually like two of these and may order another one. The doors with louvers and wonderful to hide all the stuff inside. This is surprisingly roomy and holds a lot more than I thought it would. It's nice for just about any room in the house. If you have a spot in your kitchen it makes a wonderful cabinet to hold anything, food, cans, pots, etc. In a laundry room, babies room, garage, basement or anyplace, this would be perfect. This appears to be a high quality piece of furniture. The back is basically little more than cardboard. And the doors do not line up exactly although we were able to get them to line up all but about 1/4 inch off, which is seen since the knobs are not exactly even. This is a very pretty and very practical piece of furniture which anyone would be happy to have in their home. It is an excellent purchase. ... show more

  • Nice Cabinet...Does the Job Nice Cabinet...Does the Job
My wife purchased this online from Amazon Prime for about $211. She asked me if i liked it and it looked good...loved the dark espresso distressed look with louvered front doors.when UPS delivered it i had them wheel it into the garage cause the box is well over 100 lbs. when me and my 28 yr old nephew who is a big dude put it together we opened the box in garsge and took it up to the office room where it would sit, piece by piece. We assembled in on a carpeted floor step by step with phillips and flat screwdrivers , and 2 hammers. I was disappointed that most of it was made of melanin compressed board...the moldings are also some fake wood and the back ...folded thin hardboard. That being said when it is all assembled which isnt too hard...it looks pretty damn nice and more expensive looking than it was. An all hardwood cabinet like this in a furniture store is going to set you back $700 easily. We are only using it as a stand alone linen closet for sheets, towels, and face clothes...and for that it has plenty of shelving and space. The top shelf is full width and then the others you can space how you want...we went even spacing. Tips for making this...follow insructions...make on floor...make sure everything is tight before next steps, keep it square....when you nail back square it up.....there are 52 little tack nails to nail in....use them all..there are little holes in backing spaced apart for guides. Once you get all thise pieces of cabinet stand it up to put on doors. The hinges are adjustable and need to be adjusted so the doors have clearance to swing. I replaced the felt pads they give you with ones i had that were thicker so doors close silently. Then put in the pins for shelves and space your shelves. Once shelves are in the cabinet felt square and solid. We put our linens in and it looks good in our office room off the bedroom hallway....it does the job for us. I just wish they had at least made the two sides out of pine hard wood...the shelves and back i could have lived with as cheaper material...but really cant complain with its looks...but i know melanite doesnt hold up well and it is very temperamental to moisture and the finish can bubble and scratch easily...just so you all know...this is not a piece of furniture but it is functional and nice looking as a cheaper substitute ... show more

  • Easy to assemble if you are a bit mechanically-inclined. Looks great.
Color: Antiqued White Finish
We needed a 36" wide storage cabinet and had been looking for some time in used furniture stores, antique shops, etc. A "shabby chic" painted cabinet was our original goal. But, surprisingly, it is very difficult to find a 36" wide old storage cabinet. We could not find one -- at least , we couldn't find one that cost less than $600. You can have one custom made (expensive) or you can make one yourself (a bit time-consuming, and possibly expensive if you want to get old barn board to make it). So, I perused through the internet and Amazon, and came across this Sauder unit. 36 inches wide is not even widely available in new storage cabinets. And, if you find one, it tends to be in the $500 range. This Sauder, while not "shabby chic", still fits well into our bathroom. In fact, it looks great. And it was cheap. We wish it was a bit taller, but that is a small quibble. Ordered from Amazon, it arrived in 2 or 3 days! Extremely fast delivery. Very heavy box. You will need a cart to move it around. Very well packed -- unlikely to have any damage in transit. Easy assembly -- especially if you have previous experience assembling Sauder products (which I have). The key to Sauder's success is the ability to machine its parts so they fit perfectly. The holes all line up perfectly, and the hardware fits perfectly. The pieces are all labeled (A, B, etc.) The instructions are fairly good, but not perfect. Since I am used to the deficiencies in the instructions, I could easily assemble without a problem. But, Sauder could/should label some parts better. The rear panel, for example, does have an orientation which you must pay attention to. It is shown in the instructions, but it is not obvious from looking at the piece. This is where a sticky-label attached to the back piece could give you a "heads-up" on how to orient the backer board. The doors fit well, and are adjustable in height so that the left door matches up in height with the right door. Suggestion for Sauder: Test out your instructions some more on people who are not "mechanically inclined" . This will give you ideas on how to improve your instructions. But, on the whole, Sauder's instructions are head-and-shoulders above other company's self-assembly instructions. For those who are slightly mechanically inclined, you should find that assembly of this cabinet is easy. ... show more

  • Attractive, sturdy and easy to assemble
Color: Salt Oak
I used this as a linen cabinet in my Master Bath as there is no built in storage. It's the perfect size to hold towels, wash clothes, bath linens, etc. Also a set of king sheets, a shelf of "dog supplies" and still room for my make-up and perfume. It is small enough that it doesn't overwhelm the room, but holds enough to make it very useful. The salt oak finish is really nice and goes with my "pickled oak" vanity. Also, it was very easy to put together. I assembled it myself in about an hour and only needed hubby's help holding the doors so we could attach them. I am a 50 something female and I was able to assemble. Instructions were good on this piece. (many times the instructions are horrible and assembly is super frustrating, but not so with this.) Obviously, it is not "real wood, but "Sauder composite", but a good value. I have always had good luck with Sauder products and have had various pieces for years. ... show more

  • This is a nice cabinet. I think it looks like a higher ...
Color: Antiqued White Finish
This is a nice cabinet. I think it looks like a higher end piece of furniture. I purchased this to use as a pantry. I came home to the package propped up against my house with the corners of the box ripped open and the box was fairly beat up. UPS did an outstanding job of trying to destroy this package. To my surprise, none of the parts were damaged or missing. Sauder does an excellent job in packaging this. Assembly was fairly easy. Attaching the doors is the difficult part of assembly. I did have a door that did not have any glue. The door would literally pull apart. I went to the Sauder website and emailed their customer service at 11:30 that night. I received an email first thing in the morning. A replacement door was shipped to me that same day at no cost to me. I had the new door within a few days. The door went on fine. You have to adjust the hinges a little. Please anyone that orders any Sauder products through Amazon, do not send this back if there is a manufacturers defect. Contact the manufacturer first. The door issue is not uncommon. If you do have an issue with any of the parts, contact Sauder. Their customer service is top notch. ... show more

  • Nice Storage Addition!
Color: Antiqued White Finish
I find product to be as described. The design is simple, and would work with farmhouse, vintage, cottage and coastal decors. Moving into a new apartment after many years, I discovered that newer built apartments do not offer much storage. Other than the sink cabinet, there was not nearly enough storage for bathroom supplies, in my case. This cabinet outside the bath fit my needs, since the area was not large enough to place inside for me. This unit was well packaged, with extra strong cardboard around all sides of the original packaging, then shrink-wrapped around that. It is a heavier package, so either two people are needed or, as I did, I had a dolly I was able to put it on to move. I was impressed with the extra care to protect the product in transit. All parts were well packaged and identified - nothing was missing. Instructions were easy to follow. Only a screwdriver and hammer were needed to assemble. Assembly did not take long. The front doors probably will require adjustment to get the doors to align perfectly. Instructions state that different screws can be loosed and tightened to move each door up/down or inward/outward. Product is manufactured wood. If you are able to find solid or partially-solid wood you the unit would be sturdier, as well as a higher price. There is a smell that is noticeable, but only seems to be when I open the unit. I would think in time this will diminish (have had for a week assembled now). I purchased the color Antique White. The color shown in the images is accurate; I would say it has a yellowish tone rather than an off-white or cream one. The photos provided do not show that the unit has a middle support. The top shelf, which is not adjustable, does go across the entire width of the cabinet. The remaining shelves are installed from each side to the middle support; there are six total half-width shelves that can be arranged to the height you wish. Overall happy with the purchase and it does look nice where it's placed. ... show more

Cabinet is a wonderful value is is going to make a nice pantry in our kitchen. My husband put it together in less than an hour with no problems. He added our own door pulls to match our kitchen cabinets. It is just MDF board, but it looks nice and is very sturdy. It was also delivered in just one day from Atlanta to FL.
