It did take a long time to put together however for an assemble at home piece this blows away ikea furniture. It looks much more expensive than it is and love the wood details and such. This is a very nice looking cabinet. Does not look cheap at all and others can't believe I didn't get it from a furniture store. The chevron design is unique and adds a nice decorator touch. My husband put it together with no issues at all. There is so much room inside and the shelves are adjustable so you can really fine-tune the function to your needs. I added thicker circle pads to the insides of the doors so that the doors close more softly as the hinges are not soft-close. The cabinet is sturdy and stable. This is the faux mango finish which honestly is a tad light/washed out compared to my real mango wood vanity. The walnut finish probably would have worked just as well. However, it looks great, matches well enough and was a great buy. I love it. I did not use the black, chunky knobs that it came with but rather replaced them with a smaller, tarnished goldish knob that fits better in my scheme. ... show more

I love this cabinet. Yes, it’s laminate wood and the design is printed on, it’s not actually wood slates. But It’s really heavy and sturdy. Which makes it difficult to put together though. It’s so heavy it has to come in 2 separate boxes each weighing 100lbs. Also, if you aren’t a fan of putting together furniture this IS NOT the cabinet for you. Took the better part of a day. It’s well built which makes it much more complicated to put together than your typical ikea furniture of the same (or more) price. In that regard I feel like this piece of furniture is a deal. For the reviews slamming that it’s not real wood, what did you think you were getting for $350!? That being said its REALLY sturdy and quite attractive. This is a really nice cabinet and heavy when put together. It probably took me two hours to put it together but I was doing it alone. It’s not a solid wood cabinet and is pressed particle board. The door pattern is a printed picture but it looks really great. There is a divider down the middle and then it has three adjustable height shelves on each side of the divider. I purchased this cabinet for my office, and I love it! My husband & I worked on it together and it took us less than 2 hrs with the unboxing and building of it. I appreciate the ability to configure the interior shelving however you’d like. I will say that I didn’t really like the felt stickers they gave as it didn’t mute the door slamming, so I used a thicker felt circle on each side to help with this. The unit is quite sturdy, and there is a lot of space inside. A true practical + beautiful piece! 5 stars indeed! ... show more

I agree with the other review, if you do not like assembling furniture - this piece is NOT for you. It took me several hours to completely assemble. This was WITH a drill and Philips screw bit. Instructions are 20 pages. That is a lot. For the most part, you can assemble alone, but when it comes time to attach the doors you need a 2nd set of hands to help align the hinges so they can be screwed in. Doors will not align properly even after adjusting the hinges. Once it was completed, it does feels like a heavy sturdy piece - will work for my purpose. But I would probably not purchase this again due to the complicated installation - seems like overkill. I haven't finished the room but will definitely anchor it when the wall when done due to the weight & height of the piece. ... show more
