    • Love this! But really heavy and complicated to put together
I love this cabinet. Yes, it’s laminate wood and the design is printed on, it’s not actually wood slates. But It’s really heavy and sturdy. Which makes it difficult to put together though. It’s so heavy it has to come in 2 separate boxes each weighing 100lbs. Also, if you aren’t a fan of putting together furniture this IS NOT the cabinet for you. Took the better part of a day. It’s well built which makes it much more complicated to put together than your typical ikea furniture of the same (or more) price. In that regard I feel like this piece of furniture is a deal. For the reviews slamming that it’s not real wood, what did you think you were getting for $350!? That being said its REALLY sturdy and quite attractive. When putting together 40% of the pieces weren’t labeled. Parts with plastic pieces broke off. The pantry itself looks very nice. It is made of quality wood..

Love LOVE this!!! I purchased this piece to have a little extra storage in my kitchen. I was very surprised at how great it looks in person! We had no trouble at all putting this together, but I would recommend having two people for assembly.

    • Ok but took a realllllly long time to assemble
I agree with the other review, if you do not like assembling furniture - this piece is NOT for you. It took me several hours to completely assemble. This was WITH a drill and Philips screw bit. Instructions are 20 pages. That is a lot. For the most part, you can assemble alone, but when it comes time to attach the doors you need a 2nd set of hands to help align the hinges so they can be screwed in. Doors will not align properly even after adjusting the hinges. Once it was completed, it does feels like a heavy sturdy piece - will work for my purpose. But I would probably not purchase this again due to the complicated installation - seems like overkill. I haven't finished the room but will definitely anchor it when the wall when done due to the weight & height of the piece. ... show more

This thing is beautiful. It looks like real wood. I am picky. It feels solid and sturdy and it looks like quality. It is roomy and the perfect size. We used it as a pantry but It could serve a variety of purposes. I liked that the shelves can be moved around or removed all together so one side could be used to store tall items if you take out the shelves. I was hesitant about the price at first but I am glad I broke down and got it because it is exactly what I wanted and so beautiful Assembling it is definitely a project. You will need an electric drill with a phillips head attachment (trust me you don't want to do this with just a screwdriver). But you should also have a screwdriver to get in a few tight spaces. You will also need a hammer. I did this a few steps at a time whenever I had time after work for a week and then finished the major part of the work on a Saturday. ... show more

The first one took a little time to put together, the second one was a breeze. I'm using these as pantries at a cabin, love the look and sturdiness. They are everything that the other reviews claim. The only problem I have with them is a slight chemical odor, I'm leaving the doors open at night to try and remedy this. You can't beat the look, or sturdiness of these. They are just beautiful and hold a lot. Just got to get rid of the smell. Go for it! ... show more

Keep in mind, it's pressboard made to look rustic - but for storage, it's roomy and ideal. I knew it was not real wood but it looks much cheaper in person and does not have the appearance in person of natural wood with texture and dimension in the chevron pattern, as it appears in the photos. It took 5 hours to put together and was difficult to assemble. Still for our needs and the price, it was a good option. ... show more
