Not too difficult to assemble. Feels very sturdy. The color of the wood is a deep cinnamon cherry that looks almost black under dim lighting. Much better looking aesthetically than I had anticipated. It also holds my 42 inch LCD with no problems even though the specifications state that it's for 32 inches or under. Just make sure that your TV weight doesn't exceed the maximum specified. This stand is heavy and pretty difficult to put together. It seems sturdy but part of the assembly instructions is to add a decal (not included) that states the weight limit is 35 lbs. It looks fine. It is the right size for a flat screen tv. For my purposes, it is fine, hence the average rating.

You sent me a black table. I ordered brown. I didn't realize that until I unpacked the box. Since there is no way I could repack the box i guess I am stuck with it. Other than that it is ok. Not real sturdy, though.
